I've had my L9 since November 2020, and I have been having a great time with it. So far, very solid performer, climbs well. Not fast, at 18 mph top speed, but I don't use it to commute, I take it on trails, which aren't really safe for high speeds anyway. I haven't regretted my purchase of this little tank. ( It weighs 52 lbs!)

I was getting tired of watching videos that were more like adverts,and so decided to do mine in a simple down to earth style that people can relate to without all the over the top glitz and glamour.

I've got one. I was fortunate enough to get the upgraded motor and battery. This thing is an absolute cruiser! In S mode I'm getting about 23-24 mph flat out. Adequate enough! Big wheels help with bumps and potholes. A heavy scooter but a very smooth ride. I think the standard scooter should be faster....at least 20mph. A good, solid scooter none the less.
Wow amazing. I got mine back in March and it does around 18 mph on full charge and I have no rucksack. I get 59 miles range too although I've never really checked real world range although I will say I have done around 30 miles on S mode no problems. I wish mine went faster. I'm thinking of getting another scooter - either a VSETT or dualtron.
I"ve had mine for 9 months, and it has been sturdy, reliable and fun. And yeah, it's a little tank. For long commutes some might prefer a faster scooter, to keep up with traffic better, but I don't need that. I rarely go faster than 15 mph (24 kilometers per hour) because I don't spend much time in traffic. I use my scooter on nature trails and similar excursions, taking in the sights and watching wildlife and waterways. I don't go fast, because I take pictures, and also look for the creatures that live along the paths. A lot depends on what the scooter will be used for. Sometimes slower is better.

I find the acceleration nice and brutal 🤣
I think the indicators should be orange, red indicators are weird,
and they come on when you don't want them to,
very heavy ,but a good strong scooter

How durable that or s1 version? No reviews after 1000 or more km. I read few comments from Russians about that scooters and that say that they curse the day the bought it... I had very bad experience with xtron 10. 2 of them got broken first day after avarage run... At the moment still thinks g30 is most reliable scooter. Heard from many people who did a lot of km on it
I was teached that turn signals are for informing that you are going to do the maneuver, not really at the time of maneuver. Is it a really good approach?

Hey I got a big problem the handles wouldn't go in
L9 just been updated and is now called the S1. Now has rear wheel motor with front drum break. Should improve hill performance and obviously less maintenance for drum brake. Disappointed however they haven’t added front and back indicators alongside the deck strip ones and made them activated by a switch. Motion activation might be cool but u should be indicating before turning not start to whilst you turn. Any one else think it’s a shame it’s not completely black not just the stem? Would look way better! Great review though, apart from points I’ve made this is a fantastic effort from in motion and a makes me wonder why they are so focused on EUC’s when they can do this level of scooter.
@Master Yoshi yeh it can be confusing and here in the Uk some main retailers took a while to stock the s1 and think some only still do the L9. So many scooters out there now it’s getting a bit difficult to even decide which one u want at any price point!

I bought this recently as a 2nd hand scooter. How do I get hold of the QR Code to download the app? The lights on the side of the deck doesn't work. How should I fix this? Can you also change the speed on this to 30 mph? 18km too slow for me.

Try pausing the video @1:45 and scanning the code the code that is on the side of my box.it works when i just tried it via the video.
The scooter is probably locked in it's low speed/power setting due to you not having the app connected.
Once you have done that it should unlock the full power/speed.

Head lights are ok at a very lower speed only!!! They don't lit the road far enough ahead. !!! Turn signal light comes on too soon & very confusing for riders behind you. Should be finger operated!!! At some uphills motor gets too hot thus it switches off.!!! No going till it cools off.The new updated version is better.
It's worth about $ 499 only
The 3rd version might be a better one.

sorry to ask how heavy are you? I am 188cm and 125kg and I've been looking for some scooter or electric wheel of some kind for commute. I use bicycle but wanted to try out something like this but all are rated around 100kg ;/

It's not the cheapest out there, but it is very powerful and certainly the best I've tested so far.
It's pricey but so worth it I'm telling you you will not regret it's super heavy duty fast and fun takes time to get use too and the battery on the scooter is super powerful ☺️

Good question and i like your thinking.There is nowhere really obvious,and the only place i can think of that maybe able to take one would be to remove the handle bar and drop one inside the main stem.

How did you get the app please? I can't seem to find it on Android. Also, I've read one review that claims it can't be used without the app. Do you know if that is true?
For android you need to scan the QR code on the side of the box,this will take you to a site where you can then download the app as an APK file.
I think the scooter maybe locked into eco mode until you hook it up to the app which then unlocks the full power.
After that you don't need to use the app.

@@guulyian Just my experience: The app stopped connecting via bluethoot for me. I found on some forums that this is android related bug. Fixed it by reinstalling the app from play store (its there just search for inmotion) and resetting the password via "I forgot my password" even I dont forgot it. It wokrs well since then. Maybe just resetting the pasword would fix it but I didnt need to try it since then as my app works perfectly now.

Its just like riding a normal scooter like when you kick with your legs and then balance only thing now is you do that and control that speed with a throttle just like riding a bicycle

The Chinese still have not managed to upgrade their screws to bicycle grade internal hex heads. Those Philiips head look so primitive for electronic vehicle. This is the reason you can't trust the Chinese to design durable and safe machines. Btw, are you like somewhere in South Africa, those roads look horrendous and if you have actually paid tax hitherto, it's time to stop paying.
It wasn't a public road,it was a private road to a lorry compound.

You could put on normal clothes you know. Like… with sleeves and not skintight. People would still see that you’re strong but you would not look ridiculous.

You can wear what you want of course. However, there are certain expectations in our western society about what to wear on which occasion. And RUclips is more akin to television than to hanging out with friends in the backyard under a burning sun. I would guess that you have lost out on many subscribers just because they did not feel like looking at all that bare skin.
