FULL REVIEW: • PULSAR CORE RXQ30V THE...
The Pulsar Core RXQ30V thermal rifle scope is a revolutionary optic that has shocked and surprised hunters and industry insiders across the country. The Core RXQ30V is a full featured, high quality thermal riflescope that has a record breaking price of $1,899. This is the least expensive, weapons mountable thermal rifle scope to ever reach the market. At this price, many hog, coyote and varmint hunters who have only dreamed of owning thermal will now have a high quality thermal scope within their budget.
One of the initial concerns that hunters have when they hear the price of this scope is that it will be a stripped down or bare bones optic. That couldn't be further from the truth. The RXQ30V has specs and features that rival or even surpass other thermal scopes at twice it's price. Take a look at these specs for yourself; 384x288 thermal core sensor, 17 micron pixel pitch, 1.6x-6.4x magnification, 50Hz refresh rate, an AMOLED display with a unique sapphire green tint to help reduce eye fatigue and a 985 yard detection range. The OLED display alone was a $1,000 upgrade on previous Pulsar models, but it's a standard feature for the RXQ30V.
Pulsar also didn't cut corners on the internal features and they included all the standard and popular features in their more expensive thermal scopes. A few of those features include, picture in picture, 10 reticle options, One-Shot Zeroing, dead pixel repair, white hot/black hot, 3 zeroing profiles and more. The only feature left off of the Pulsar Core RXQ30V is a video-out port. If a hunter has no desire to record video of his or her hunts on an external DVR, then this feature will never be missed.

arrived here from a message board link. thermal scope companies seem to be more concerned selling the bells and whistles and forgetting many people just want a thermal scope that acts like a scope with no a/v
i'd really like a trijicon thermal to put in line (like the snipe ir) with my other trijicon products but that's out of my price range so ive resorted to making it the baseline then settling for something that costs less

How does the pulsar rxq30v compare to the Thermosight Pro PTS233 320 1.5X - 6X

Thanks for the question. It's really a lot to get into via this format but I'm going to do a side by side review very soon. In a nutshell and this is a very small nutshell, buy the PTS233 if you want to record video. If you don't care about video recording, save $300 buy the RXQ30V. The scopes are extremely similar and I do mean extremely and but the RXQ30V has a slightly better image quality and a slightly better range for identifying animals. They both have their pros and cons but at the end of the day after a few weeks actual field use with the PTS233, I think it comes down to the video recording on which one you should by.

It really is. This time last year you could have never convinced me a scope of this caliber would be less than $3,000-$3,500 by now. Thanks for watching.
