1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-11 (Gifts Of The Spirit) || Matthew HOBBS

The Church of Jesus Christ was birthed with the coming of the promised Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
Now indwelling and sealing each believer, the Spirit also blesses the Church with spiritual gifts.
However, much ignorance abided within Corinth about these gifts and the operation of the Spirit, which had the potential to lead to abuse, misuse and lack of use.
So, Paul begins to address things pertaining to the Spirit, and shows the saints that the criteria for whether a person is operating in the Spirit of God, is not gifts, but whether they are living a transformed life.
Only then, does he begin to explore nine gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Are these gifts all for day, or have some ceased operating?
What do the gifts of the Holy Spirit look like in effect?
Do they glorify man or do they glorify Jesus?
