  • (Bloom night May 20, 2024) The other day my husband said 'hey come see this!' He found a little cluster of tiny Cereus babies hidden at the base of the plant! Now, C. peruvianus/repandus are not known to be self fertile and I've never seen a fruit on this plant. My theory is before we got it, it crossed with another plant at the nursery, fruited, dropped seeds, and they waited to germinate for some reason. I'm guessing they're at least 3 months old. How neat is that!
