[4K] The Orient Jakarta - The World’s Weirdest Luxury Hotel (Full Tour!)

Hi all!
In this week’s video, I take you on a tour of what I think might be the weirdest 5 star luxury hotel in the world. The eye-catching design isn’t the only thing that makes this hotel extremely unique. What other hotel do you have to pass through a literal nightclub to get to the elevators to your room?
I completed a 3 night stay at The Orient in January 2023. Overall, the hotel was great, especially for the price point. You can get the Deluxe Room for only $130 a night on some days. My room, The Orient Room (full tour here: • [4K] The World's Weird... ) was about $250 a night including breakfast.Highlights of the hotel are of course the awesome Bill Bensley designed interiors, the beautiful infinity pools on the roof and 5th floors, and the luxurious bathroom in my room.
Shortcomings can be summed up in one word: unpolished. From some physical elements, such as doors which are locked that aren’t supposed to be locked, to the staff not being as proactive as a five star hotel should be, the hotel lacked the polish that true five star luxury hotels have.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere fun to be! If you’re a business traveler, you might want to look somewhere else…

With tons of foreign hotel brands in Jakarta at high end market, hotels such as this and the Dharmawangsa have to put a theme that differentiate them from the foreign brands. Which explains the uniqueness of this hotel.
Do take a look at the Dharmawangsa hotel, it's on the opposite end of this hotel. Super traditional and they ain't afraid to show it off

Right! Sadly, it's open to the public so got quite crowded. I enjoyed the 5th floor pool more because of this.
