I love watching these four. Gary is so nice and funny. The kids are so smart and witty and have wonderful manners. Everyone is so respectful. Love this so much ❤️
It's so great to see kids who were well dressed and well mannered. Lucy publicly talked about wanting her children to be liked by everyone they encountered and that they should be respectful to all adults. Wouldn't it be great if people today taught that to their children!!!
Another family edition. I like it! Desi's a pip! Cute kid. His sister seemed a little bit more stiff but she was at a tough age at that point-starting her teen years. I remember what those were like and my parents aren't famous. That couldn't have been easy. Great episode!
Oh my goodness little Desi is so cute! Both kids are so sweet and well mannered. I have never seen them all together when they were still kids before. I just started watching the Lucy Show on RUclips.😊
I can't imagine growing up in a world where my mother is an international superstar. Not that my own Mom didn't think she was a star, just that the rest of the world didn't always fall into line.
I wasn’t aware that Desi Jr. and his group started when he was so YOUNG !! The kids were alot more animated in this episode ! It was so enjoyable. I so enjoyed the documentary with Desi and Lucy’s family movies. Lucie and her husband produced it ! Blessings from California. 🦋
Desi Jr. was pretty smart for his age.It was funny when that word plaque shot up from the counter top and scared him.I liked them color Lucy show when her real kids were on it and played teenagers...Lucy was Mrs.Carmichael, and Mr.Mooney, (Gale Gordon),was her bank boss.Alot of movie stars, including John Wayne, guest starred on it.I watched it every Monday night as a child, when new.
Gary is really good with them I think (at least how its shown here, but I've liked him in everything I've seen him interviewed) He also seemed to really love Lucy. And I've heard she wasn't always easy.

I luv chocolate as a word in the lightning round. It made me think of the delicious episode of Lucy and Ethel working at the candy 🍬 factory !! 🍫 Which was filmed at See’s Candies Factory !! 🌹
DINO, Desi & BILLY. Dean martin, Lucy Ball & the hinsche family. I remember that trio. It went well into their teens if not mistaken.. 16 years old? Wow.
lucie Arnaz seems VERY uncomfortable in the beginning. She crosses her arms and seemed upset. When Desi Jr. and Lucy won, you could hear Lucie say "they always win." When Gary touched her arm, she doesn't seem to like that. She does warm up though after winning!
1964. Lucie 13 years old. Desi Jr. 11. I was 3. Lucie now 70, Desi Jr. 68, and I am 60 ???? !!!!!!!!!!!! Where the heck have all the years gone ??????????????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kaiser Aluminum is a pretty well known name in my city, Spokane, WA, its where one of their main plants is still, although we used to have another that closed about 25 years ago, it was a smelting plant, the one still operating is what they call a rolling plant and it mainly makes aluminum parts that go into airplanes. And the strike they had their when I was a kid in the 90s was one of the more memorable local news items I remember, it lasted like a year almost I think, and it never totally recovered from it having to downsize and it isn't as big as it was even after 20 years since the strike. One of my dads aunts worked for them including after the strike and shes retired now.
Lucy's children look more like their father than their mother. It was great seeing them play Lucy's children on "Here's Lucy". These shows were classics, though it would have been nice to see Desi Snr. on this.
It seems like this game show and most of them back during the 60s we’re just friends of Hollywood constantly repeating the same shows. Seems like Betty White and her husband were connected to a lot of the game show people. I thought Lucille’s daughter seemed rude at times here when she was young.🙂 They were dressed so cute then.
@Jasmine I’m not taking anything away from what you observed. Lucy was to put it bluntly Hollywood royalty, despite being a very straight forward down to earth person with no airs or graces. Her children were charming and perfectly mannered. But what struck and amused me was how deferential Allen AND Gary were. There were several times, unintentional I’m sure - for example when Lucy openly told Desi to listen to the audience after she screwed up the clue, giving leopard instead of tiger. Any other guest would have been called out on that you may be sure by the punctilious Mr Ludden - yet not one chiding word out of him once. I KNOW Gary knew what the best clue was, but he didn’t use it, letting it go back to Lucy so she could use it. I’m sure they both loved each other, but he also knew he had married into Hollywood royalty, and treated her accordingly.
Ludden was surprisingly lenient with guests when the show started. Lucy saying "I can't say avant-garde, can I?" should have made her lose her turn. The show overall was surprisingly entertaining.

Good question, I've wondered how that worked as well. I assume the password was displayed to the live audience during taping without any audible acknowledgement. Then, during preparation for prerecorded broadcast, the audible password was edited in for the benefit of television viewers? Not sure Cathy, maybe someone else who knows better will give a more definitive reply. :)
I believe there is a large booth with a big window to look out and into it, in back of the audience- in some studios its atop of the bench-bleachers where the producers, writers, directors,( in this case, the announcer) is located to talk or make changes to the show, that cant be heard by the set or crew during taping. I believe for this taping, the announcer is located in the booth, looking below, onto the set for cues and whispering into a microphone. All in all, sound affects- clue words- all happened during the taping of the show :) I hope this helps.
The manners of the children, so wonderful.
Look at the kids today....I despair.

Unbelievable! Little Desi actually held the seat for his mother, when they came out. So cute! ❤️🌹❤️
He also held the seat for his sister when she joined him.
Wow! A truly historic episode with the legendary Lucille Ball and her family; classic fun!
@Jim Hanold I'm just over here so excited over seeing this in my feed right now!!!! 😃🙌🏾🙌🏾❤❤❤❤
The kids look like they're enjoying this a lot more than the first time around.
Lucille Ball and her kids killed it!
I'm binge watching these and loving it!! Who let these priceless vaults out?? 😃❤❤❤

Gary Morton is HILARIOUS!! 🤣😂🤣
Loved when he was doing the clue stare😅😅
Oh what a different time it was ... a young boy pulling out and holding a chair for his mom. I almost forgot this was once done. Lovely indeed!
Oh my goodness little Desi is so cute! Both kids are so sweet and well mannered. I have never seen them all together when they were still kids before. I just started watching the Lucy Show on RUclips.😊
They're not all together, their father isn't there.
I could watch this family all day...they are all so smart!
PASSWORD ... one of the greatest TV shows ever!
Lucy was so lovely, Gary was handsome & funny. Desi was so cute & smart, Little Lucy was so serious.
Yes, Gary was almost as handsome as Gary Schandling.
I can't imagine growing up in a world where my mother is an international superstar. Not that my own Mom didn't think she was a star, just that the rest of the world didn't always fall into line.
Lucie must ultimately have been a strong person to grow up into such a 'normal' adult after having had Lucy as a Mom!
Cannot imagine being the kids of Lucy and Desi: they were such super icons
My own thought the same... & the world was at fault for not catching on. 😞😔😢
They are all such great sports and happy for each others win
What a difference seven months make! And Desi Jr. snuck in a nice plug for his band, Dino, Desi and Billy!
When Lucy was doing the hungry password and Gary blurts it out... xD That kills me I couldn't stop laughing

Gary Morton was so sweet with Lucy's children.
I didn't realize that 'Dino, Desi and Billy' was started when Desi was 11 years old! I remember their music. I guess I'm ageing myself.
