Just discovered this channel, I don't comment on videos often but I have to say I truly enjoy watching these videos you put together! I love the sense of knowledge, family, and culture the channel portrays, it's easy to tell you're a very genuine person! Keep up the great work!
I've never seen a bald eagle out in the wild like that. I grew up in rural Missouri and used to always fish, but never did see eagles nor an elk or moose even though they're native. What a beautiful place you go fishing. I bet there are big catfish in there too.
When you are "walking the dog" with your top water, how do you get it to make wider movements. It seems when i try the lure movement is a lot narrower. Could it just be the lures? I was half thinking maybe i should be using a loop knot instead of a clinch knot. Anyways any help would be appreciated.
You can try a loop knot if you want, I never found them necessary when it came to walking the dog but it can work. Certain lures walk differently than others..depending on the shape, how they sit in the water, the weight...they will all walk different to an extent. You should be able to make them walk further in a direction if you leave a little more slack in your line as you're walking it. The more slack, the more line it has to move to the side more.. It takes quite a bit of practice to perfect it. Try leaving some more slack in your line, if that doesn't work then try a loop knot or a different top water bait. Some of them just were not meant to walk that wide, some were made to walk wider. If you look up Larry Dalhberg who made the whopper ploppers, he has some bigger baits that walk SUPER wide. Just look into the shape, the weight and where the knot is tied, and you should be able to tell if it will walk the way you want it to before you buy it, good luck! Awesome video by the way! I definitely want to try the frog with the plopper. When you figure out how to get a better hook system on it I will buy it for sure! It doesn't seem like it's worth using the way you have it in this video..I can see the bass hitting the plopper and not the frog, great idea though I definitely want to try it when you figure out a better hook system!! Another great video from an awesome fisherman! Thanks a lot for the tips! You have the best videos on RUclips man! I guarantee that plopper frog would destroy them down here in south Florida. :)
That Whopper frog is awesome the only problem I saw was they hit the plopper so hard that the hollow-body frog hooks seem just to hairline too far forward cuz those blow-ups were beautiful
I think that you should film a competition video between you and Liz.Liz uses a whopper plopper, she chooses the size and color and you use the grass burner-(round 1)next Liz uses the teckel sprinker frog and you use a booyah toad runner-(round 2)next Liz uses a lunkerhunt prop frog, she chooses the color'and you use a frog with the whopper plopper trailer and you choose the color.(round 3)you all have to decide what the winner gets!
I suggest that you put a hook on the end of that whopper plopper trailer, look at how far that a bass has gut to have that down the throat in order to even get hooked.
I like the innovation of the frog and mini Whopper on the back but I feel like the mass to hook ratio is off quite a bit. the hookup ratio is going to be terrible lol
Who's ready to see Liz back out on the water? We have a trip lined up next weekend so leave a comment below on what type of videos we should film.
BamaBass I am, and also ready for Tank Tuesday. What is the music when the bass hit the spook at 1:01?
I really want to see liz vs Mike/1rod again

Cory gave up too soon, needs more of that "Never Give Up" determination that fishing folks have.
Hey man! Great video! I was wondering if you were throwing those top water lures on mono or what!
Very cool video... what was that floating worm you had?
Link to it in the video description.
Nothing beats top water
What rod/reel is that at 2:42?
I like the anticipatory music prior to the bass strike.

Where did you fish this time

I was thinking the same thing. I am going to try to figure out a way to add the plopper trailer along with this hook. bit.ly/FrogTail
I did that but it takes a little work to make sure the plopper ‘plops’ due to increased friction. Worked phenomenally once fine tuned.
You should try the red spinner worm by cream
LOVE THE VIDS. mobie is my fav.
I like the innovation of the frog and mini Whopper on the back but I feel like the mass to hook ratio is off quite a bit. the hookup ratio is going to be terrible lol
Nice video!!!!!
I got some of that spike it dye stuff and im saying that stuff soooo stout and idk what to even do with it bc of how stout it is
Bamaboy5239 Keep using it the more fish you catch the better it smells lol.
Love the vids
What kind of fishing line do you use?
17 lb. Stren mono. All of the equipment I use is listed under the video description.
BamaBass why dont you use fluorocarbon when fishing ledges
Why do you spin the line around your rods when you store them?
It helps keep them from getting tangled up with my other rods.
I fish at that same place. Caught a nice 7lb bass with a lunkerhunt frog.
That's a really nice fish (6:11).
