Twilight princess is my favorite zelda. What a gem
A very nice video for what hasn’t been a very nice week in gaming media. Thank you :) and I cannot recommend continuing Rebirth enough when you have more time! It builds its world and narrative in remarkable ways (I’m in the last couple chapters), absolutely adoring the experience.
I think there's a place for both types of Zelda. I want big open ended worlds to explore, but I also want tight, well designed adventure games too.
I highly recommend checking out Kena Bridge of Spirits! It kind of scratched that itch for me
Three of my favorite games you are holding right there xD
So many great games. Not enough time! Loved the video :)
👍
i'd recommend Wreckfest. It's closer to Flatout than Burnout but if you're looking for a modern racing game that's more about the crashing and vehicle degradation it definitely hits.
On Steam, Xbox, and PS5 i believe. Heaps of fun.
Not totally arcade-y like Burnout but the crashing +racing and soft body physics of cars are super cool and in that same vein. It also looks gorgeous
I somehow always learn about a new Visual Novel game on this channel that piques my interest.
Twilight Princess the last Zelda game with Dungeons in it. Hopefully they go back to Dungeons again. There is a newer game called, "Cruis'n Blast" on the Switch that plays like "Burn Out 3" Speaking of Switch I've been playing Bro Force & Sonic Superstars on the Switch lately. Mostly been on my SNES playing Mario All Stars going back to the Lost Levels or the true Super Mario Bros 2 game. Whatever you want to call it. Thanks for the Retro Break!
Great Games
I wish I had more time to play games. I beat XBC3 by playing 1-2 hours at time. Took me about 9 months to put in 140 hours. Well worth it though. Great video!
Hi, mate. New viewer to your channel here. You have some great takes on games and I find myself agreeing to nearly all of it! Are you playing on og hardware or emulators like pcsx2 and Dolphin etc?
Currently playing through all of the Metroid series, I've played almost all except Original, Federation Force, Samus Returns and Dread all before. This time I've done: Metroid original, Zero Mission, Metroid 2, AM2R, Super Metroid, Fusion, Prime 1 (Remastered) and currently on Prime 2. Just 3, Other M and Dread left on my list :D
I played Summer Pockets Reflection Blue in Japanese a while ago. Really fun summer vibe indeed.
This video also makes me consider finally playing twilight princess (or should I wait for the inevitable Switch version that people have been speculating for years? 😅)
Amazing! Wish I could read Japanese it would open up so many more possibilities, I was learning a few years ago but dropped it.. I’m really enjoying summer pockets, currently following Shiroha’s story.
I think there’s still a chance for TP on switch.. maybe their direct will have some more remakes as it’s a bit late for new titles!
I loved Burnout 3, played it through for all Gold medals many times. The original team came back to make Dangerous Driving on the PS4. It had some real flaws, but probably the closest thing there's ever going to be.
Also a full playthrough of Twilight Princess sounds awesome! Hehe I have requested this before but a Pokemon game would be fun too! (Emerald hehe :P)
I didn’t include it in the video but I’ve actually been playing Heart Gold again, not for a video though, but maybe I’ll do some Pokémon episodes in the future!
@@RetroBreak that would be so cool! Any pokemon game really I think would be fun to see you play :D
@Tele3champion I did actually play through Pokemon Soul Silver as a Nuzlocke on twitch last year! You can watch the episodes in this playlist :) - ruclips.net/p/PLDnKP-SHX9U7kD2O4I1lNU9SO7v_CtT1R&si=3yhuE_SkPwtTBsYm
@@RetroBreak Oh man how did I miss that! Will check it out :D
Random video idea: ranking your favorite cart designs. Not the games, just the cartidges. Gb carts, gbc, gba, snes, sega, n64. If it has a cart, it has a rank. I’d imagine the rank list would be very much so personal and based heavily on nostalgia, but I’d be really interested to hear your take on what cart designs you love and why
Fun idea! I’ll add it to my list and it might happen one day! 😁
I’ve been finally playing sonic adventure for my first time, really solid!
I’m the same way on bow and tok I much more like the older 3d style and gameplay vs the new
Burnout 3 is absolutely incredible and needs a remaster. Paradise doesn't compare.
Cruise n blast is what you are looking for!!
I 100% completed it and loved it! :D
I recently "hacked" my 3ds and have been playing the Majora's Mask 3d Randomizer. It's been really fun.
If you want over the top modern arcade racing game, try Motorstorm Apocalypse.
I’ve played it and it’s great, but it’s also 13 years old at this point so not really modern.. I do enjoy the new NFS games, but it’s not the same 🥲
You want FAST on Switch, then must play is, Grip. The model answer to ps1 Roll Cage.
Great list pal. I did enjoy botw but got bored whilst playing tears. I enjoy open world but I do think it’s too much here you can play for hours and not get anywhere I get some people like that but I done. Thank you
Lately I played Desert Storm and Aladdin on Mega Drive (RG Arc), Choplifter II on the GB (RG35XX), New Super Mario Bros Wii and as something completely different, the Wild Weasels F-16 campaign on DCS (VR).
With Visual Novels you lost me, I just don't considers those as game.
If you swap to summer pockets RB, you might have to start from the beginning. I recommend the other Key VNs - especially Little Busters, Rewrite and Clannad.
I’ve played / read Clannad and little busters and loved them! Is ReWrite similar too? I’ll check it out after Summer Pockets!
Twilight Princess is my favourite Zelda. It made me not enjoying Skyward Sword feel worse cos the drop felt precipitous.
I’ve been slowly playing BotW on/off since it launched on Wii U, but haven’t finished it yet cos it’s not doing the things I love most in Zelda despite being very well made and I enjoy it a good bit, but also cos I also got Persona 5 at launch a month later and tried to juggle both games for a good while and burnt out on both lol.
So been slowly going back to each other a few times a year since release to eke out a little more progress. Might actually beat both this year (did the last few Devine beasts in the summer so just have to build up enough health, stamina, armour etc to feel confident storming the castle. Also on the last dungeon in P5). So If not this year I hope to before the Switch successor is out lol
I would love another story driven zelda game, botw felt flat to me and I don't really get the hype for it 🤷♂️
I think nintendo have confirmwd future Zelda games will be same formula as BotW/TotK which is a shame imo, not my style at all.
Also i love crisis core, unfortunately im.not really fond of FF7 remakes narrative so far. Great ganeplay though
Yeah I played Tears for like an hour and a half and I really liked it but for some reason I just never went back to it, and I dont really care to. I do hope the next Zelda goes back to the conventions they tried so desperatly to leave behind.
