It’s called adhd lol, a lot of times the mouth goes faster than the brain and you end up saying things exactly how you thought them with no editing and they come out not sounding how you thought they would and you just don’t realize cause your brain is going too fast trying to catch up to your mouth that it doesn’t really care what damage your mouth did in this high speed chase XD

It’s fine to assume pronouns, especially with strangers. What’s bad is continuously using the wrong pronouns and pretending like it’s hard to remember. It’s really that simple. No egg shells required.
P.S. Being corrected on someone’s pronouns shouldn’t feel like a punishment either. So long as you’re intention is to respect the other person’s identity, any backlash is on them.
