Hi Rae thanks for the review for the Bread Gel as I have wanted to try it since I love the oil but I am not trying to add to my stash for that price since I have other products that I love that I plan on using my coins for lol. I did not realize it was that expensive for 6 ounces 😮. Your hair looked great on the next but I hate it didn’t feel the same.

I do I agree with you- when I tried this gel on its own my hair looks “ok” but my it felt sooooo dry. So I tried it again with the Bread leave in conditioner cream one & it was not good, hair was moisturized & felt better but the definition was lacking! I like the leave in cream on its own but the gel is a pass for me!

Your hair looked good after you came from the under the dryer. Once you said you had a rubbery feeling to your hair, I didn’t think it would last. I’m also sensitive to coating feelings on my hair, especially with having fine hair and low porosity, it doesn’t take much. I checked out the ingredients in that gel, same “holding agents” kinky tresses gel has in it, and I got the same results from it, but willing to try it different ways before giving up so fast.
The only gel I’ve been able to use without a leave in, and it last for days without refreshing was Miche Wild Rose gel, Tropical Oasis Gel, and I’m expecting the same results from their Strawberry gel. The Tropical Oasis Gel is so good they didn’t discontinue it like they do their other “limited editions” they keep restocking when it’s sold out.

I’ve been watching a few videos on this gel & the main con is that the hair feels dry.. & it’s with & without ppl using a leave in..
For me that’s a no no!!
Another con is that you only gel 6oz for almost $30..
The only pro is the hold which I am shocked at!

Hi Rae! I have this gel and I would not repurchase. The first time I used it was with a mousse and I didn’t like my hair it lacked definition, dry, and felt waxy. Second time I used leave in, bread beauty gel and eco gel to see if I would get a better hold . It came out a lot better. But I don’t know how much I have left so not sure if I can get another use or not. I recently brought their mousse so I will try that out hopefully I will get better results. Thanks for sharing. I don’t recall it smelling funny but now I’m going to go check to see if mines smell 😂. Have a great weekend ❤

No it felt better. I really actually liked it. I used the blue eco gel (which I love). I want to pair it with their mousse and with a leave in I just don’t know how much I have left. I think that is the biggest con as I like to know what I’m working with before I style than run out in the middle of my hair. Some products are trial and error . It may be horrible the first try and then you make changes and it’s great. But it is like $28 I think.
That’s too much unless you catch a sale and still have to pay for shipping
Hi Rae. I keep meaning to ask, do you use a high or low setting when you sit under the dryer? It just dawned on me that I have a hooded dryer in my closet and would like to try it. I've been only blow drying with a diffuser.

I noticed my hair likes certain gels, I looked at the ingredients and now know, my hair likes gels with Maltodextrin/vp copolymer “holding agents. I get good definition, shine, hold, with NO LEAVE IN for the Miche Gels for 5 to 7 days.

I swear I cannot tell the difference between 3c and 4a hair. Anyway, I would never use a gel without a leave-in (I can't even use mousse without a leave-in). I always wonder whether products like this are talking to those with silkier textures (i.e., more compact cuticles).

3c curls are the diameter of a pencil where 4A coils are the diameter of a coffee straw.
@@nicim3730 Someone that uses the original definitions of the hair types! Somewhere back in the 2010s, pencil-size curls became 4a.
Wouldn't the lady in the video be a 3c? I always feel as if most "4a" hair is actually 3c.
3c hair have larger curls with more silky look, 4A hair is tiny-er & tighter in comparison.
