I cannot stress enough what a rock this psalm and this song have been for me over the past year or so, where I was really tested and tried in the service of our Lord. Not only did this song help me memorize the text, but the music perfectly captures the emotion of it. I've turned to it so many times when I needed to pour out my grief and passion before the Lord, and also remind myself of the reward He promises, the reward that is found even now in His presence. My dad is in his last days. God saved him about 50 years ago. He has followed Jesus and grown after Him. I have read this Psalm so many times and listened to this clip; it fits SO much and it is such an encouragement and comfort in the midst of how hard all of the situation is. i like this psalms chapter 16 because i know theres evildoers running after other Gods wishishing bad upon me. But they dont know that our father in heaven is the (supreme) God and will protect and guard me and give me the strength to defeat whatever comes my way and he will multiply those evildoers sorrows that worshipped other Gods.
