Saw SRV 6x. The first was in a small club in Destin Fla, on the Texas Flood tour, within weeks of the El Mocobo show. I was literally on the stage right in front if Stevie. What a night!! I have seen many greats over the years but none who were so “one” one with the guitar. After the show I was lucky enough to spend a few minutes with him on the tour bus. Never to be forgotten. Mimi I know why you want to get his tone !!! Good luck always. Be safe and hope your ear issues get sorted.
SRV was one of a kind. He had a sound and style that was unique and one of a kind. NO SIR there will NEVER be another like him! Thanks for the awesome memories STEVIE. R.I.P❤😂🎉😅
I am lucky enough to own an original SRV Signature Strat. I cannot play for toffee and always planned to play as good as him! Kids came along and life just got in the way. Still cannot play but just looking at this amazing signature strat still drives me to one day pick it up and start again. Mimi, carry on this legends name. RIP Gary Moore xx
Love this video you have gone from strength to strength since you started out on RUclips. Your playing, video production and just being you have come on a treat. Loved the itchy arm segment and it’s about being human and also figuring out the SRV turnaround, but fully relaxed about it all. Love it and thanks for sharing ❤🎸♥️
Aron here from the US. Dang! Mimi I hope yours heal up quick and you fully recover I had two sinus infections last January. One of those infections went into my left ear and I was freaking miserable had to take all those antibiotics which made me sick to my stomach puking all over the place. Steroids, ear drops & nasal spray. I wish you well my dear. Keep rocking that sound I'm getting down🎉 🎸.
I love it ok I seen your short about it. That's very nice and don't ever stop dreaming good luck and I was blessed to know Stevie when he was 12-14 years old. It's in your soul young lady. Hope your ear heals up soon. Much respect and love.
Love love love that Strat. Neat little tutorial on the pedal. I also like the way you incorporate double stops into your picks. Get better Mimi and put out some more content for us. Especially longer form.
Yes, you're exactly right. You can have somebody's tone, but you don't have to sound like them.. look at the heavy metal shredders their tone is almost always the same but each one of them is mostly different.. plus the most important thing is that smile you had when you were playing that tone makes you happy that should be your answer right there
Thanks for sharing! I've never heard of this pedal and it sounds great! Gonna go check it out. For those people always judging others for "wanting to sound like someone else", I got news for you. When you're a working musician playing clubs in a band playing a wide variety of different kinds of cover tunes, you better damn well learn how to sound like a few people because if you don't, the ONLY person your gonna please is yourself. NOBODY wants to hear a song like "Panama" being played with a setup that sounds like some some noise made by Jack White, and nobody wants to hear an SRV tune with a guitar tone that sounds like Slayer, lol!
Mia, check out this guitarist by the name of Jim McCarty. He has this one video showing different amps and their effects. Check out Jim playing live, especially the one titled Sterlingfest or Callahan - You will be glad you did
My guitars have hbuckers on em, and i must admit it is fun when i get my hands on an axe with singles. Who else has a humbucker guitar they think sounds close to a single? It aint quite there, but ive got a Jackson Dinky, just with two Jackson hb in it, and I swear to god the middle position is very spanky, and gets me closer to Strat-land than the coil taps on my Eclipse.
..hi Mimi...the pedal was cool and you sounded great, but I think the best part of the video was you demonstrating why the Fender Stratocaster is shaped the way that it is.....
Why use a tone? like you said, it’s inspiring. No one can sound exactly like another. It’s in the hand feel, unique to every person differently, so many nuances from their life experiences, even, go into guitar expression. You can’t live their life. Others can’t live yours.
Every pedal pawn pedal is for blues. In fact, every pedal makes you sound like SRV. They just keep making the same pedal and renaming it. Each pedal is demoed with a beat-up strat, and the guitarist is making that "stank face", except for you. I like your videos
Stevie would have been 70 in August this year xx The sounds he left behind are timeless and I love this man to death.
I'm with you on Stevie. His music touches me like nothing else.

👍My two favorite 'Blues Shredders' are SRV, and Johnny Winter, because they played with ferocity! Thanks for sharing your time and talent.💐
SRV was a brilliant guitarist & Mimi is excellently carrying on his style ! 🎸
That guitar really is a fantastic fit for you; with your sound, it's fantastic that you're playing a Strat. Thanks for sharing, Mimi!

SRV is my favorite. Sure would like to hear you play some more. Thanks for the video and have fun. Stay well and be safe.
Yer awesome. You don't need to apologize for wanting follow SRV's lead.
Stevies cover of Jimi Hendrix song voodoo child was anazing.
Sorry to hear about your ear infections. I hope everything is cleared up now. Thank you for introducing SRV's sound in a pedal. I want to get it soon.
You go Mimi💪🏽 As an SRV devotee as well, your feelings completely relatable!
Fun Video! You've got the tone very close!! Keep Rockin!!!!

Sweet video, I love double pedals. Those Pedal Pawn pedals do sound A LOT like Stevie.
What compressor do you use? I have been using a Keeley Aria.
Cool pedal. Thanks

Great tutorial !! Massive tone !! Keep rockin' !! 😊✌️💜🔥💜🔥
My favourite SRV song is 'Look at Little Sister'.
You have it dialed in a lot like Stevie - sounds great! Nice playing too- enjoy that beautiful guitar!❤😂
That's a pretty cool Overdrive
Beautiful strat. I love the color.
Nice placement as well.
Mimi, what would you advise a beginner to start with, box guitar?

Hi Mimi,
how long did it take you to learn to play the guitar?
Great job!!!
great video much appreciated

Is that like the one that rivers coumo used Or is it a diffrent model?
Great video.
thank you .
This video gave me such a smile on my face, and then I looked at the price of that pedal.....
I was thinking "Wow, , Mimi's getting really good".... 🤙
Tone is in the fingers. A good setup makes it more fun.
Mimi, you know how to make your guitar playing sound better with pedals.
Your playing is thank you
❤
Mimi! You rock!
Very good
..hi Mimi...the pedal was cool and you sounded great, but I think the best part of the video was you demonstrating why the Fender Stratocaster is shaped the way that it is.....
Nice parfromnce ❤❤❤
Ooh nice 🤙🎸
You have so much talent. You don’t have to be a thirst trap for views.
Sounds just like Texas Flood! Pure Stevie
May record something mixing it with the Corona?
The joy you bring to playing is infectious, sort of like an ear infection, but seriously hope you get to feeling better. 😀
😂😂😭 thank you!
Random Question, I know but, who or what is Will? I've never heard of, or seen an ad for a Will Clothing brand.
Jack Wills 😅
@@mimisounds2843 You know, after looking it up, I think I have seen those pink & black striped bags before.
I would enjoy tapping this thing every second. How much lol Have not seen a nice pair like those in awhile. They look perfect
Srv is my main man other than slash I didn’t learn about him through guitar hero either lol it was 2 years prior I was 10 lol
You kept a straight face way longer than I’d have managed. 😁👍🏻
I see Mimi, I click; simple as that. 👍🏻 Smash like fellas.
Don't worry about sticking to a schedule of releasing videos if you're not feeling well, Mia. Hope your ear infection days will soon be behind you.
If you're playing a strat, SRV tone is THE tone!
Nice
I had 2 ear infections last month…
WAY worse than I remember as a child.
I was miserable.
Hope yours F’s Off sooner than later.🤞🏻
Wow, Mimi you're getting better and better at playing the guitar. Very bluesy.
thank you very much!😊
Questo mi sempre overdrave .
Tone is just a starting point, it's where you take it
You take care 🎉🎉❤
I think the joke is something like:
How to sound like SRV.
1) Get a Strat
2) Get a Super Reverb (or Dumble)
3) Be Stevie Ray Vaughan
You also need to get the Fender Vibroverb or clone version. Plus you also need to get Ibanez Tube Screamer Peal and wah-wah pedal.
Why use a tone? like you said, it’s inspiring. No one can sound exactly like another. It’s in the hand feel, unique to every person differently, so many nuances from their life experiences, even, go into guitar expression. You can’t live their life. Others can’t live yours.
It's not that serious, dude she's just explaining the technique.
“Mimisounds…how do you get that sweet sound”? 😊😂🥰
Every pedal pawn pedal is for blues. In fact, every pedal makes you sound like SRV. They just keep making the same pedal and renaming it. Each pedal is demoed with a beat-up strat, and the guitarist is making that "stank face", except for you. I like your videos
Keren main gitarnya❤❤❤❤
Don’t forget: the sound is in yourself so think EVEN dirtier to emulate Stevie Ray 😂Anyway great video 👍
You and Grace Bowers should start a power duo
Please play some early Robin Trower . 🇫🇴✨🎸✨ " Lady Love " " Daydream " 1975
Outstanding!
Plug that into a 15”…
