Hey Chris I was in you class last night and today RUclips recommended your video I thought that was a lil wild. Anyways just wanted to say I enjoyed your class and started emplimenting tactics immediately and I think Oscar and I have possibly convinced my boss to get a lab scope so we can get good with it. Thanks for the teaching

This video is freaking awesome. I have a '09 prius with a P0AA6/612 fault. This should help troubleshoot it.

Great video! So do you disconnect the BCM before doing the test at the HV battery? Should I also use that mega ohm meter to test the cables at the inverter? Thanks!

Chris, thanks for this video. For those of us that recondition these batteries, when you do the isolation test, and EACH battery is isolated so that you test the 28 and not pairs, what would be the acceptable maximum Mohm reading be? I have the Klein Insulation tester, not Fluke, but it is rated at 4000Mohm. On many of these cells, I get 25-30Mohm readings. Isnt the higher number better-Thanks Jerry

Great vid, question, are the settings the same if one module is tested by itself? (all bus bars removed) Is 500v too high for one module alone?

i’m looking at a 2017(?) sonata with P0AA6 and tomorrow i have to measure the voltage at the Power Relay Assembly. Sure hope I don’t piss myself if I get shocked by the 360V circuit.

Hi: Thanks for the great video on doing the isolation/insulation test on the hybrid battery. I'm half way though my first reconditioning of my '06 Prius hybrid battery. Even though I didn't have a P0AA6 fault before I started my reconditioning I'm planning to run the tests you have in your video before I reinstall the battery. I don't have a megohmmeter but am going to pick up a Fluke and am wondering if you could lend me some advice on a meter to perform this test and also other resistance testing that I might need to do on a Prius in the future. I see you are using a Fluke 1507. I see Fluke makes a 1503 model that is quite a bit less expensive but only has 1000V and 500V testing options versus your 1507 which also has 250V, 100V, and 50V options. Do you think the 1503 model would work find of most Prius work or should we just get the more expensive 1507 model you are using? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time; and all your posted videos, they are really helpful.
