Hey Chris I was in you class last night and today RUclips recommended your video I thought that was a lil wild. Anyways just wanted to say I enjoyed your class and started emplimenting tactics immediately and I think Oscar and I have possibly convinced my boss to get a lab scope so we can get good with it. Thanks for the teaching
Great video! So do you disconnect the BCM before doing the test at the HV battery? Should I also use that mega ohm meter to test the cables at the inverter? Thanks!
Hi what kind Fluke meter u using ?? I want to see if I can cross mine over or buying same like u to able test hybrid battery can u let me know ?? Thanks Also what Toyota Camry & Lexus from 07 & up ?? Do u have any test show cuz it’s not same as Prius battery test as u show video here
Chris, thanks for this video. For those of us that recondition these batteries, when you do the isolation test, and EACH battery is isolated so that you test the 28 and not pairs, what would be the acceptable maximum Mohm reading be? I have the Klein Insulation tester, not Fluke, but it is rated at 4000Mohm. On many of these cells, I get 25-30Mohm readings. Isnt the higher number better-Thanks Jerry
i’m looking at a 2017(?) sonata with P0AA6 and tomorrow i have to measure the voltage at the Power Relay Assembly. Sure hope I don’t piss myself if I get shocked by the 360V circuit.
Hi: Thanks for the great video on doing the isolation/insulation test on the hybrid battery. I'm half way though my first reconditioning of my '06 Prius hybrid battery. Even though I didn't have a P0AA6 fault before I started my reconditioning I'm planning to run the tests you have in your video before I reinstall the battery. I don't have a megohmmeter but am going to pick up a Fluke and am wondering if you could lend me some advice on a meter to perform this test and also other resistance testing that I might need to do on a Prius in the future. I see you are using a Fluke 1507. I see Fluke makes a 1503 model that is quite a bit less expensive but only has 1000V and 500V testing options versus your 1507 which also has 250V, 100V, and 50V options. Do you think the 1503 model would work find of most Prius work or should we just get the more expensive 1507 model you are using? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time; and all your posted videos, they are really helpful.
so if the battery i test show one end of the batteries 0.008 to 0.179 volt should replace it ?? because some is show 0.000 volt what u recommend it i should replaced ????
Wow electron you are the best l never see it a video like this thanks for your time very inf

This video is freaking awesome. I have a '09 prius with a P0AA6/612 fault. This should help troubleshoot it.
how did it go? and did you use a different meter?
Great video
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for explain !
Each one of my modules are getting right around 90G with my ground to the metal case while set for 500V.
thanks i fixed couple of mine

what about the balance that the baterry must do after fix??? tell us how to do it

Great vid, question, are the settings the same if one module is tested by itself? (all bus bars removed) Is 500v too high for one module alone?

Did u manage to sort it? Would dr. Prius app show you the bad cell?
Thankh

OH i saw it u using Fluke 1507 Insulation Tester model
Also once found problem found how do u determine with or the 2 modules is bad?
I wonder why you used a fluke 1507 over some other brand? If your a diy sometimes alternatives are great?
When checking is battery need to be charged full or ?
Hello Captain, can you help me to find out the problem with the code p1446 Honda Civic 2006 Thank you
Is it fully charded? I get 400 at the settings u use
I do i figure out out of the 2 with is problematic?
What is the minimum reading allowed for a gen2 prius?
Hi so this battery modul leack or low voltage
How old are the faulty batteries.
Does moving cells from middle to out prolong the cell life
yes
@@lunam7249 I use car for work should I charge recharge cells before putting them together
i think that you doing a great job in youtub but we still mising the the last act
