Along the way we see a bicycle lying next to the track, and at the level crossing at Almelo we can see the damage that a car had caused earlier this morning, for which we get a directive. Wat een enerverende rit alweer. Een fiets naast het spoor, een stationsnaam verkeerd (ach moet kunnen), een spoorwegovergang in reparatie, en twee spotters die ik ook al een keer eerder heb gezien (ergens in een andere video). Bedankt voor de rit, volgende keer weer!

I sure hope the rider of that bicycle didn't become a splotch on the front of a train; the bike was probably stolen and the thief dumped it there when they were done with it. Lovely ride, though...your tracks are so smooth and level in Holland.

Are the beautiful blue and white colored trains at the Enschede train yard for a new service or just a different paint scheme? They look really nice!
These are Blauwnet's, they "took" some of our beautiful lines like Enschede - Zwolle - Kampen.
Die fiets lag daat inderdaad heel erg gevaarlijk ;_;
Het gevaar is dat mensen hem gaan pakken, of op het spoor gaan leggen.

Maar het er nòg verder opleggen? Dat is gewoon absurd. Als u er overheen was gereden, waren er hoogstwaarschijnlijk gewonden gevallen.. Waar u er een van zou kunnen zijn.. Gelukkig is dat niet gebeurt in deze (hopelijk alle) diensten
Wist niet eens dat VIRM op dit traject reed. Of is het toeval? DD-AR rijdt de laatste paar maanden ook overal en nergens, maar daar is een goede reden voor. Is dit een stel wat binnenkort de grote metamorfose ondergaat?

10:07-10:16 square wheel? Thump thump thump thump all God's locomotives got rhythm. (Can't be stick track, can it?) I note that curve made the wheels complain, too. There was no wheel thump elsewhere.
10:37 - well, that is one way to handle dual (more than two maybe) voltages. Select the pantograph that doesn't blow out the equipment, right? {^_-} I wonder what sensor technology could make selecting the wrong pantograph safe. Some form of electric field sensor would be required. And pantograph raising would have to be slowed to allow the sensor time to react and pull the wrong pantograph back down. That sounds like a fun engineering problem. Hm, or is this simply a tool for when you REALLY need to suck down a lot of power to move the train?
15:47 Gee, a traffic jam with angry motorists outside their cars pulling doors open on other cars is not usual for that kind of a road. {O,o} (Or was that an automotive mosh pit?)
23:55 Gee, US trains are much noisier in that situation with bells and whistles. Men working AND broken crossing make it a big deal over here. I notice two things, in Holland men working around the rails are treated as adults who know when to get out of the way and European horns DO sound like asthmatic donkeys. (First time I've heard another train's horn in one of these recordings.)
Approaching Holten - is that irregularly shaped object on the right part of a WW-II memorial? (That was a rugged way to organize an urban renewal project, guys!) {o.o}
