@@tonbokarasu2973 I mean this politely and as respectfully as I can, but for a lot of people, they feel the same way about Life (not the game) it still something the devs could work on, but for “real ness” it’s pretty spot on on how loans suck early on in life
That discussion about number of turns got me confused for a bit. I think Ash was right about some things, but missing the point. Unlike Rik, I think a turn on the board is, on average, better than a retirement turn, so the player who gets to retirement last has an advantage, but the point he was trying to make is that the person who goes last will often miss out on a turn, which is right. If player 3 gets to retirement last on turn 15, then players 1 through 3 get 15 turns, while player 4 only gets 14 turns.
yeah, i dont know why ash keeps arguing about turn value on the board vs on retirement, its really not the point here. 4th player is more likely to lose a turn, end of story. sure you might get more value if youre the last one on the board, but thats assuming the 4th player is the last one on the board. what if the 4th player get to retirement first? they're on retirement AND still lose a turn.
Generally, if players 1, 2 or 3 retire last, those players get extra turns. Player 4 has to retire last to end the game fairly (aside from the extra stars on their first roll).
So Jaz goes straight for the career, marriage, and 2 houses as a video blogger earning 40k. Rik goes to school and before he's even got a job he's got 2 loans and 40k to his name. I think the person that starts first definitely gets a benefit.
Being last sucks, even right at the beginning of the game when the players going first has no chance of landing on someone else's star and the player going last will spin the wheel with stars already on it.
It would be interesting to have a game where everyone tries to go for the most loans. You have 2 categories of points most loans and who wins. Each player is calculated in each category and the points from each are added together. Person with most points according to this system wins.
I was in elementary and middle school in the 80s.. bookbags were definitely used, at least in the southern USA. United Colors of Benetton bags were especially coveted.
I just love how EVERY game, Ash ends up taking Rik's money. xD As for extra rolls or what, I think it really just comes down to whoever manages to get the lowest rolls. The slower you take to get the to the end, the more you seem to be able to rack up in points.
I often can't help but wonder if Aenne is in some kind of love triangle with Ash and Jas for real. Mind you I'm not trying to accuse anyone of anything, I just wonder.
Right at 33:00 when Jazzy said "big", for some reason that triggered my phone and paused the video. I thought I was getting a phone call at first, until it pulled up the Google assistant screen with the word "big".
I honestly feel like the whole "extra turn" thing only has an effect if all players roll similarly. If you roll low numbers more often, however, you still can pull out ahead by leagues. It's all down to the rolls and amount of turns, not the order of turns.
Ash has gotten married in every single game of life except for the one game where Jazzy harassed him for not getting married. wow, truly they are in love. lol love these four.
Not really sure when the show is set, don't watch it, but, at some point kids used book straps, which were literally straps your wrapped around the books. They're in some old timey movies.
Rik oh no, why is this game is the worst to you?! Imma file a lawsuit 😡 16:07 Jas the typical rich person with a mansion and a holiday home Price being obsessed with the babies is giving me life Rik wins at the game of life. End of story!
I think the fact that rolling stars can take money from you before your roll is a problem especially with the forced stops. As in this game, you can roll someone else's star, land on the stop, then roll their star again without making any money. If you are last, you can also get hit with multiple honeymoon/baby money requests in the same turn without earning any money. I think the real advantage might come more from going first than going last though since it is the least risky path to start.
even worst is the alternative is 20 points. i find the points in this game odd, you’d think they’d fix it. so usually it’s 20p(1 attribute) or -80p (and a chance to gain a crown). i’d love to fully stats it out and see what’s mathematically optimal.
Does the loan even matter? The game gives you 50 and at the end takes 100, so you'd be losing 50 regardless if you pay back the loan or take it to the end. The loan is a 50 penalty anyway so instead of paying it you should take the other option and make points instead
When I was in the US public school system back in 2018 we still used physical textbooks. In my world history class we also had access to be able to use an online version of the textbook, which I only relied on once. Then in college, the only textbook I have had to get so far, has been a bunch of loose leaf paper and an online access code, so at least in my state we still have our physical textbooks and need backpacks
Lol just play the game, if you finish first you get a bonus and extra turns. No one loses a turn, you just get extra turns if you retire faster. The game ends after the last person retires it's that simple
Wish they did offer pluses/minuses for spouces and children. As it is now, you just get 1 heart (happiness) per each. Life is upposed to be a game of decisions and having to live with those decisions good and bad. If i buy a house, there should be a chance it may need repair or it is on top of an oil field which automatically doubles your investment. And wealth, knowledge and happiness should be a positive and negative also. For exame, you get robbed, you were found to have plagerized a paper for your degree, ana a family member needs to be hospitalized and all could lower your various collections. Of piggy banks, books and hearts.
Was about to purchase this game but after seeing how unbalanced the game is I think imma pass. Some mechanics just make no sense, like not being able to pay back loans whenever you want, the last player barely ever getting an extra turn at the end, the map not having extreme wins or losses like finding a treasure worth 500.000 or losing spouse and they take half the money, and the map being small in comparison to the real life board game. The actual board game can take 1.5 hours to complete and I know that you have to do a set-up and count money and such but still. Would be great to see various map lengths that you can choose from, like short, medium, and long. The game seems pretty bland tbh, like there is no spice in it. I've seen all four videos in a row and now i'm like, is this it?
This is probably going to be my last game of life video i physically cant handle listening to rik complain about the rounds anymore this is a never ending whining saga i legit can't take it lmao
I feel like the fact that the game of life is unfair from the start is pretty on point...
Maybe, but that makes it a bad game. Why bother continuing the game when the first spin can have such a large effect on the result?
@@tonbokarasu2973 I mean this politely and as respectfully as I can, but for a lot of people, they feel the same way about Life (not the game) it still something the devs could work on, but for “real ness” it’s pretty spot on on how loans suck early on in life
This episode shows that Rik is such a great friend he is willing to go into debt to give his other friends money.
The wedding are so cute and this game has come such a long way inclusion wise. The skins are so cute and im glad they made this game

Being last sucks, even right at the beginning of the game when the players going first has no chance of landing on someone else's star and the player going last will spin the wheel with stars already on it.
Yeah, feels like that could be remedied if the game had everyone do a spin JUST to determine their star space before actual play started.
I love the spooky map and the winter map.
Also, I wanna see Rik go for more loans. 😂
Anyone notice on Jazzy's turn that the studio apartment costs more than the mansion? Haha
Must be located in the most scenic high-rise in the world.
I was like, “What, do you buy the ENTIRE apt building???”

This is an amazing idea. Also, your username and profile picture are on point as well! Buy the antique spoons! All of them!
The Game of Life 2 is Riks Mario Party
Just with less salt
Price’s Mario Party is Rik’s Game of Life
@@shalevasor911 True. There is no salt as salty as Price’s Mario Party salt.
Everyone :happy noises

Right at 33:00 when Jazzy said "big", for some reason that triggered my phone and paused the video. I thought I was getting a phone call at first, until it pulled up the Google assistant screen with the word "big".

Will the gang would consider playing "Party Animals"???
I see this suggested a lot. We have one video of the demo out. But the game isn't actually out yet. Once it releases we'll check it out again. -Ash
Hi I love you guys vids
To answer your board game battle question Jas, I'm going to guess Monopoly or Payday.
What is funny is that you can pay your loan back at any time either when you retire or when you want at least you can do that in the original
I mean, Rikonomics got him second...
Please play more of this!
YOU GUYS ARE SO WARMING TO WATCH!
I also love this game
Game math:
$100K = 5 Lifestyles (Heart, Piggybank, and Book)
$400K = Lifestyle Crown
Haha I love rik just go loan and he has no problem
They should make it where if you land on the green space, you have the option to also pay off your loans.
