Musical Reading with Sebastian Koch (April 29, 2023)

One of the special guests at this year’s jazzahead! is the internationally renowned actor Sebastian Koch. The Berliner-by-choice will perform Arthur Schnitzler’s “Traumnovelle” as a musical reading together with the Hubert Nuss Quartet. The Cologne composer and pianist Hubert Nuss and his band will perfectly stage Koch’s oratory and acting with jazzy sounds. The actor himself describes Schnitzler’s “Traumnovelle” as a “highly musical text, written almost like a fugue.” In addition to Koch and Nuss, Bastian Stein (trumpet), Robert Landfermann (bass) and Fabian Arens (drums) participate.

As admiring keen Australian fans of Sebastian Koch, lovely to see him back after what seems bit of a lapse. Good to see some work coming in and that something is published for us to know at least that all is well with him and his career. We adore all his movies of the past and hope for more in the future, please. Only problem here on this little thing, we not German-speaking of course and seemed unable to find a translation button. Never mind, so great to hear his very distinctive voice. Take care everyone,especially Sebastian.
