Pilot to see how is gonna go!! when i started i was aiming for 15-23mins, but IT WAS SO DAMN HARD!! reading commits on a code base you don't know, OMG took m hours!! plus the timing to start the series was bad with GNOME going for beta, which means no exciting news.. anyway, i guess i'll find workflow to speed up that; and obviously i dont like that Gitlab reading style so i have to work that out too :( um, but couldn't help it but thinking, these series would be perfect for COSMIC! first because it is called "COSMIC" and Mii is space, and second because it is easy for me to read the Rust code, plus the project is on an early stages so it makes much easier; if/when Cosmic becomes usable, maybe ... PS btw please give me context of news i can use; maybe i'll open a discord after all?
This feels like "This Week in Gnome" but showing what's happening behind the scenes. They have a short section like that now, but everything else is announcements. I hope you continue making these, even if it's not weekly.

The topic of dash just bring back the whole issue of why even have a dash? To make you feel comfy like you're using mac or windows 95? With launchers like pressing (or command-space on mac) you don't need docks.

Not only do they refuse to put Terminal on the dash, they also refuse to add a keyboard shortcut for it. You can't even set one, you have to add a custom shortcut, which means you need to know the name of it or how to call "gtk-launch". Ubuntu does it for you*, but Fedora (and presumably Gnome OS in that case) don't, despite Fedora claiming to be for developers. Why can't they use "developers want it" as excuse to put it in the dash? * do they? I may be confused with the Run Command dialog.
Yes Ubuntu does this on Ctrl+Alt+T by default. tbh I think they should've used something with the Super key, since this shortcut may be used by some app However, I have to set it myself anyways because I use BlackBox (using Fedora) and prefer Super+T :p Edit: oh and i just remembered, i got the Super+T idea from elementaryOS, where this is default shortcut for the terminal (i also copied workspace switching shortcuts from it, since default GNOME ones suck)

@@HoussamElbadissi I use Super+T as well. I think Ubuntu has Alt+f2 for the Run Command dialog; I use Super+R. Everything should be based on Super.
