I saw Billy Strings and his kick ass band rock the nation’ s capital last Saturday night…from the first notes of WH blues to the encore Freedom…it’s the live show to see these days-wow. For Heads out there- the guys blow me away with Me and my Uncle
Worth searching out more... catch him with Marcus King or Tedeschi-Trucks and get your mind blown, he and his band are beyond good, says the old Deadhead...
Oh man!!! I needed this so bad right now !!!! No idea what hearing Billy do dead covers does to my heart 💔 gets in and fills in all the cracks all the way to my soul! ❤
Is it blasphemous to say this is my favorite version of the song ever? I love all the times the dead did it but Billy’s solo here is really something special
WOW!! A DH since 1973; this is as good a Peggy-O as any I've heard. Way to pluck those Heartstrings, Billy! Update: I was just listening to some old GD and I might have been a little hasty. As good as this sounds, without Jerry's mournful singing, it just can't compare.
Jerry is so happy
Masterpiece! What can't Billy do???
He really makes it his own. Bravo young billy yet again
He is an absolute Angel straight out of heaven!! I would marry you sweet
Billy o!!
I was there and it was amazing then. Just listened to this again, brought tears to my eyes. Jerry would approve.
Honest to God this was one of the best songs I’ve ever seen performed live. Billy Strings is the chosen one, what a treat
Tears rolling down my face.....every single time.
BMFS is doing the good work of keeping our deadhead music and traditional songs alive, refreshed, and current

Wow! That solo was incredible. Jerry would have given that the nod. 😉
That box rings like a bell in his hands...
Jerry made me cry every time I saw him perform it. I started tearing up for this one. 🔥
@@jeffpietrzak6508 My thoughts exactly!

Jerry Garcia is just above our beloved BMFS ☝️

this is awesome, is he playing peggy o in the key of g?
He sings it better than Bobby does. Not saying much but it’s the truth.
I love Jerry singing this and no one can replace him but I like Billy singing this more than Bobby
Bobby didn't sing it until Jerry was gone...and for good reason.
