There is a battery discharge/overcharge protection circuit inside most lithium battery packs to protect the chemistry. It should start charging after leaving it alone for a bit since the chemistry starts balancing and the voltage goes up which enables acces to the battery pack again which allows the charger to charge is is proper behaviour and is for your safety c: but yhea they could finetune it so it keeps some charge so it allows charging .. but that means less vacuum time

Late, having the same issue but I just took the canister and everything off, stuck the handle part on a fan to air out the motor for a few mins and it started working again for a couple seconds… think moisture somehow got in the motor 🤨
Dyson should be sued. The battery issue is common problem. Now i have the new hardly used it just useless. I wish i am able to have it wired. Even if i pay for new battery what is the guarantee that it won't break again.
Same issue with me, the unit is not even 6 months old and there is not blinking blue light while charging... Any solution would be welcome! Update: I am an Indian. Screw EU.

Yes. I called the dyson, and explained the preblem. They sent the power assembly set, and it worked.

Not true in my case, it’s the battery issue, because of that I just changed the battery today, the old battery is also 3rd party from 3 years ago.

Update : Spoke with their customer care, they said that the charger maybe an issue ans sent me a replacement (free), now it is working fine.
