I have been living in the uk for 9 years and i definitely agree with MMG! But I would say 'sorry' is more commonly used instead of 'pardon' when you've missed someones message. (British loves to say sorry🤣). Another thing to note is that we can use 'sure' instead of 'okay' when people ask you out~ Frankly speaking, 'you go first' is not too rude, but it's definitely not posh. 'Would you like to go first' sounds better!
Micheal MMG, it’s always entertaining watching your RUclips channel😆😆😆 I love how you point out the mistakes made by people of Hong Kong when it comes to English speaking. However may I stress that not all British people sound like you portrayed😂😂. What you portrayed here is merely a London regional accent only. I’d love to hear you try speaking with a Geordie Accent. . . . . Again, love what you do.🥰🥰🥰
I used to live in the east end of London and it was probably the worst place on earth for anyone to learn English (think David Beckham and Michael Caine)!
Hello, When I was 6 years old and I was in America; I used the words I want, my teacher corrected me to said May I have and always say Thanks or Thank you. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve asked one of my senior British classmates in the University of Portsmouth after watching this video. She said “You Go First” is polite and “ok” is a neutral word and it’s fine to use it there unless you use it in a rude way.

不過已自然反應回應「everything is good, thank you」再加上微笑,希望大家都舒服啲🙂

Great! Thanks!
我即刻係後面答, I am good! Thanks!
會大大聲問D friend 攞煙: ' Can I bum a fag?'
@@161299ag i'm good 同OKAY.

your material is very helpful indeed Micheal
thank yoy very much
7:50 It isn't too long a video, I just can't get enough.
Oh, I'm still deciding, please, go ahead,然後,可以的話:記得往後退。
如果講咗啦 you go first (whatever), 加個 please 柔和聲音, 人咗, 就不會記住.
Or just simply. “Go ahead”
Thanks 馬教練 for those useful conversation tips ☺️
Yassss, I got it. Thank you Michael ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A great lesson. Thanks!
nice vid, literally everything we have to know when we get to UK
You may go first
I love your performance , cheers!😊

Meal check

And in some regions, we say "Ta" instead of thanks or cheers.

you go 1st (Cantonese Style) = After you.........
在澳洲可以用you go first冇問题不過要加can, you can go first或者you can go first if you want, d鬼都會咁講同埋澳洲冇人笑你
U go Frist 同u jump I don't jump意景上係一樣
Do you need a bag? I'm good, thanks. >> 答果陣會唔會有人都仲加番句:nah i'm good, thanks.
I hear you.
thank you
Good 😍
After you~
Nice
Should say..... after you!🌹
Yes 跟 please
No 跟 Thanks
用 sure 代替 ok
Was distracted by how much your teeth has straightened !!!! 😂😂
You may go first都ok ah
'I'm still making up my mind'
最尾我答, after you
Hi, is it appropriate to say “after you” instead of “you go first”?
Really, it said make love while he said made sense
Yep
TA-thank you
. Okay means I am okay to stay here (not to have coffee) ..
Diu so true hahah
after you sir
Probably you can have your order first, I'm still thinking on it.
EFTPOS (Electronic Funds Transfer at Point Of Sale),
After you
(Excuse me.) (No excuses next time!)

After you"🤪
@@Gryffindor.beagle Different people have different standards. Someone may think the word you use is good but the others may think that word is not good. It depends on the individual.
@@Gryffindor.beagle 都仲要睇埋對話兩者身份, 氣質, 同語境.
I always say 'After you...', 'You go first' just doesn't sound right to me.
Australian here, it’s chill and laid back in Australia, you can say “you go first” all you like and no one will bat an eyelid. 😁
4:30 “makes love”😂😂

另外,你想比人行先,我唔係排緊隊,可以話講 please go head, I am not in line.
fab! fabulous!

"You go first"係咪對後面嘅人講?
。。"I have not decided. You may go ahead"
👍🏻👍🏻
