I met fish back in 1996 Netherlands, he is a very gentle giant, I grew up with his music, musicians family here. I was very nervous I was with my own bass player there, he knew him longer. To me fish was very kind but he hated my boyfriend immediately. I guess he saw his A-hole attitude on me. He really hated him. It ended for me sadly , but I must say..he was unfortunately right. I will always appreciate this man. And his music 🎶 🤎💪
What a great story, have not thought it was done in 1 take with all the implications behind. I simply remembered the berlin wall background as it had been part of the Marillion video of 1985 which I loved from the beginning, the whole album, when I had saved the money needed to buy the CD on the weekend of Live Aid. That was a tough time in the mid of cold war each time we visited Berlin in September , passing the tall eastern guards who checked everyone carefully and 1 wrong word and it took hours to get through the checkpoints. Still a great guy of strrong confessions.

There's a nice cafe where you overlook that view of the Bass Rock. One of my favourite places for a wee bacon roll. Didn't realise he lived round there
