    What blows my mind more than anything is the audio. I knew it had a powerful DSP chip but didn't realise what it was capable of. On the basis of this, it seems to blow the PC audio cards of the time out of the water. I don't think I got anything that could create anything close to this quality until the late 90s when I got a Yamaha sound card that was brilliant for music but even that, I don't think, was as good as this.

    • @TPau65

      That's not entirely correct. Thalion/Eclipse games were made by members of TEX (The Exceptions) and TLB (The Lost Boys). Both famous demo groups (and sometimes crackers) from back then! You can clearly see their coding skills in most their games (border graphics, more colors, smooth scrolling, great music by Jochen "Mad Max" Hippel etc.).

    Das ist ja wieder mal genial! Super!!🤩
    Und das mit 16 Mhz?🤔😎
    Erstaunlich.
    Ich hätte jetzt sowas wie eine Falcon "Turbokarte" erwartet.
    (In meinen zwei A1200 habe ich immer 28 bis 50Mhz eingesteckt.)
    Gibt es denn für den "FALCON" keine spannende Tabellenkalkulation ...?😉

    • @TPau65
      @TPau65  Год назад +1

      Ja, der 3D-Teil ist schon recht beeindruckend! Da wird halt viel mit dem DSP gearbeitet, wie man in den Credits sieht.
      In meinem A1200 werkelt eine TF1260 (leider "nur" mit LC060 CPU). Aber wie schon damals mit dem A500, werde ich mit dem Amiga nicht so richtig "warm". Das arbeiten mit der Würgbench ist auch mit der aktuellsten Version 3.2.2.1 immer noch eine Katastrophe! Aber genug OT. 😁

    • @harrylor66
      @harrylor66 Год назад +1

      @@TPau65  @TPau65 Wirklich sehr stark! 😋
      Das schreit ja nach "Doom" für den Falken
      Wie ich gelesen habe, sind Beschleunigerkarten für ST/STe/Falcon auch nicht so leicht zu bekommen.🤔
      Etwas OT:
      So so, in Ihrem A1200 läuft diese neue Karte nur mit LC060 CPU?😉
      Meine Karten sind alt, also eine M-TEC 28Mhz, eine wo mir der Hersteller gerade nicht einfällt, mit 42 MHZ und eine Blizzard 1230 Mk-III mit 50 Mhz. Also alles aus der Zeit. Die Demos auf dem einem A1200 ("Symbolica" und sowas) habe ich noch nicht mit 14 Mhz gesehen.
      Nun, wer mit dem Amiga mit WB nicht so recht warm wird,
      der nimmt eben den ST/Falcon mit TOS oder MultiTOS. Das ist schon richtig und gut so. 🙂
      P.S.
      Wie ist das mit dem UNIX Betriebsystem auf dem ST?
      Gab es für A3000 und TT.
      Sieht auf der HP 9000 recht gut aus?🤔
      OT Ende.😉

      @@TPau65 Ein "Zeitdokument" vom "Schulhofkrieg der Systeme".
      Das Original ist ein MOD, das Vido mit der Rechtschreibung (der Ersteller ist nicht deutschsprachig) ist natürlich neu.
      Für "Atari" gibt's sowas auch.
      Ich finde es, nun ja, "witzig"....
      In dem Zustand wie der erste 500er im Video habe ich 2011einen C 64 II auf dem
      Sperrmüll gefunden, vielleicht war der noch etwas versiffter.
      Dann lag dieser jahrelang in einem Schuppen bei mir rum, ab und an habe ich später Schauben von dem Teil verwendet. 2019 habe ich den dann zerlegt, komplett in die Badewanne geschmissen und gereinigt. Danach fehlende Schrauben und fehlende Tasten ergänzt und ein Netzteil besorgt. Nun sind wieder 64 kb RAM frei....🤗

      Sure, an Amiga A1000 can do that? That was in 24bit true colour, playing 44khz mp3 quality sound decoded in real time.
