hmm, weird. I had the Second Version 03:30 running without Issues. No on Winter Szenario once i put Ceilings and continue to drop Planter Boxes for the Second Floor - i cant even place 1 Planter Box. Overlaps with excisting building Structures. Not even a single One in the Middle ... how is this Possible, something must have been changed ... has anyone made the same Experience yet ? So i did something like this 5 days ago on a less efficient scale but the same concept. I gave 3 growshrooms all of my contaminated seeds and it worked well for a couple days but then after 3-4 days i realized something. My seeds was going away slowly and i was losing seeds. By day 4 i had lost so many seeds they was only planting in half the boxes because they was losing me seeds. Idk if it was a bug or what but if you do this keep an eye on your seeds... Maybe it was a random issue I ran into or maybe something about using growhsrooms to plant and collect that makes you lose seeds overtime? Idk but it became useless trying to do this unless I also wanted to keep making breeding fert and breeding more seeds everyday at the same time. I literally started with over 200 contaminated seeds and like 140-150 planter boxes and ended up with like 40 seeds after 4 days or so.
@@0xKensu actually.... plants are not guaranteed seed drop, the way you make sure you have enough seeds is by manually planting some plants with breeding boost fertilizer, this garuntees 3 seeds per crop. there are also yield and growth boost fertilizer one trippling yield per plant one tripling growth time. this crop farm unless you are wise and use the top layer and build a stair case so you can get up there and manual plant breed boosted seeds on the top layer to keep your seeds up will slowly eat away all your seeds.
The problem with this is if you ran out of seeds, every time you harvest you are not guaranteed the same quantity of seeds that you have planted. And without fertilizers it will yield less and less seeds and you will have to go around the map again to find contaminated plant seeds.
@@KIANL-GAMER on easy server perhaps, but I've done this in the hard server and harvesting seeds with contaminated plants is just the same as harvesting seeds like with the normal crops, like a 3/1 or a 5/1 ratio. like I've said you will run out of seeds with this setup, this will be viable if the game allows the growshroom to take fertilizers with him as he plants.
@@ralphgd8510 Wrong I have been running a farm like this on a hard server for 3 or 4 weeks and have been using the same batch of 120 contaminated seeds I began the growing process with (I only started with 4 seeds and used the fertilizer to boost the yield till I had 120 or so and have not had to do it since then).
@@KIANL-GAMER Yeah I tried to recreate the 5x5 farm (last one) of previous video, but I cannot access the corner planter boxes on second floor for example. And since you went through it so fast it was hard to say if I’m missing a tile somewhere. Or also would be good if you could have shown yourself floor by floor accessing stuff.

theyre meant to be an autofarm and low effort so i think its fine for the intended use w/o taking advantage of fertilizers; just wondering if quantity would outproduce speed in the same footprint 🤷♂
@@OGBeasttboxes grow faster, not a claim. it’s a fact and easy to test on some blueberries, it’s 19% -20% to keep it easy for anybody who doesn’t want to test it or do a quick search. Using fertilizer is not AUTOMATIC. You still have to farm mats for fertilizer not AUTOMATIC. If you’re growing shrooms for yield boost just skip the fertilizer and plant twice. Speed is worth it but again not AUTOMATIC. Of course you can be more effective if you put more time into it but then it wouldn’t be an AUTOMATIC farm.
if you mean CONTAMINATED crops - yes, using farm with no sunlight (cover the very top layer in the same way) if you mean DEVIATED crops for cooking food - also yes, using the farm with sunlight
@@Chickenburger-2 contaminated plants do not deviate, you can only deviate normal crops with the help of bees. and if you're gonna plant normal crops with this setup tendency is it will not grow fast enough which means low vitality and maybe take you like 2 days irl to harvest with very low chance to have deviated crops.
A farm without fertilizers is very ineffective, it is better to make a normal farm with options to turn on or off the light, this will give the opportunity to collect acid, plants and deviated plants.
The downside of not being to use fertilisers is overcome simply by the sheer number of planter boxes. The 84 version alone would produce 420 crops or about 7 deviated crops on average. That's already way more than enough for solo play. For group play you can use multiple farms

The only problem for me is limitation of 250 functionalities, because i also need to farm crops for food buff.
I don't think you can build the compact 168 planter any more with the half walls.

You have the Fetch-A-Lot-Bunny deviant? Cuz i know that guy broke a lot of crop farms (they 'steal' the seeds)

How many crops can a mushroom deviation take care of ? Unlimited amounts ? Do you need multiple ?
I think unlimited. But u can use a few to speed up the process

in my tests u always gain the seeds when planting contaminated crops

If you had an abundance of seeds; wouldnt loamy soil be more effective since you can fit 17%+ more in the same footprint as the planterboxes?

This doesnt work always since Growshrooms are bugged on not harvesting.
the best spot for mushroom is in tall grass there so many mushrooms in compact area hiding under the bushes
