Russia intercepted another 4 ATACMS missiles fired by the NATO towards Crimea, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
ATACMS use GPS as their primary guidance so are standard shooting practice for the Russians.
I believe that ATACMS has internal guidance as failover for missile once in flight. GPS receivers are passive and receive multiple signals from satellites.

@daviddunkelheit9952 It depends on what version of the missile they are shooting. Some are inertial guidance only and some are GPS. If the Russians are using GPS jammers (which the US has known for almost 25 years that they not only have but that they were effective) they will drastically reduce the accuracy of the missile. On this battlefield the only advantage that ATACMS has over GMLRS is accuracy since an accurate missile doesn’t need a massive warhead or multiple warheads. It also matters what the Ukrainians are shooting at. The Ukrainians seem to have no understanding whatsoever of targeting so they shoot multi million dollar missiles at two guys in a Bukhanka.

The point of these "cooperation agreements" is not the immediate aid they provide to Kiev, but the public increase of the commitment to Ukraine. In a war where NATO´s reputation is already on the line, NATO members keep on raising the stakes to bluff Russia out of the game.

A watched a mini documentary on a Russian speaking channel the other day about a village just outside rabatino. It was a nazi Ukrainian stronghold and the Russian freedom fighters attacking the stronghold. Man it was sad and amazing at the same time. Obviously the Russians captured the stronghold with two injured. I wound up stuck on that channel for hours watching all the mini docs. My deer friend when all is said and done a hope you do videos of how the Russians captured villages, towns, and city's cos that mini doc was amazing just to see every soldier fighting for the same just cause. The Russians are on another level of bravery tbh.

Russia has produced/refurbished more than 1500 tanks in 2023 alone. Most of this has not even been deployed yet. All indications are that the Russians have amassed a huge force that will be deployed by opening a new front. It could be a major offensive like Operation Bagration to destroy their enemy for good.

So Ukraine is fighting with sanitized Western weaponry. The US is asking Ukraine to fight but not with the best of its weapons and equipment but with equipments which have been stripped off its modern technology.
The Ukrainians can't operate it. That's one of the reasons they started throwing the Javelins away- too complicated (and barely worked). It takes a lot of training to use the over technical western equipment, and 95% of Ukraine's best/highly trained troops no longer exist.
That Abrams looks like it got stuck in a ditch, this seems to happen a lot with western MBTs. They seem to be too heavy to handle any soft ground.

During WW2, approximately 96,500 tanks were destroyed in the eastern front, for an average of 68 per day. Why is it treated as big news if a tank or two is destroyed in Ukraine today. This is all very low intensity warfare compared with WW2. If at least 30 tanks are destroyed in a day, that's newsworthy.
It`s not even a real war, just s mo. WWII on the eastern front was the worst kind of war humanity had ever seen before.

The Russian Defense Ministry has shared drone footage of an artillery strike on a Ukrainian field depot; several trucks loaded with ammunition are seen being obliterated in a large blast.
The strike took place near the Russian town of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, which is known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk, the military reported on Friday.
Drone footage shows several military trucks, parked tightly close to one another and poorly concealed with shrubbery on the outskirts of an unspecified village.
Shortly after the ammunition dump was identified by the surveillance drone, the location was targeted with artillery fire. Some of the trucks were set on fire, suffering a violent secondary detonation when their contents exploded.
Since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian military has lost more than 111,000 troops, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said earlier in the day.

Is there, in any of these reports, a map showing the westward shift of the entire contact front? Since the AFU offensive petered out last year and the Russians took the initiative, it seems the only limit on Russian advances is the speed of logistics. It would be useful to see the difference between the end of last summer and now.

The turtle tank as they have been made thus far, is an utterly stupid idea. It makes the tank not a tank anymore, has no turret, no way of sensing anything around it. And no protection for its drone EW jamming equipment ontop. It's a bad joke nd we won't see anymore of that.

The issue is to trasport troops close to a building that can provide shelter from FPV drones In the notcso far future I think we will see more powerful and extended range flamethrowers deployed to get rid of drone operators before any new offensive...
@@stevealba56 But why do they put that shell on tanks, making them untanks? Perhaps they have too many tanks so that it's the simplest option.
But this turtle shell stuff is obviously improvised by soldiers in the field. (Which is a bad sign of poor feedback on urgent needs communicated). Professional armaments industry would do it differently. Fixing it on the turret so that the tank remains a tank. And instead of solid sheets make it out of a grid so that it is transparent for visuals, sensors and EW jamming thus protected inside of it.
The turtle tank was surprisingly effective. It was speculated that the turret was damaged in some way on the first one. They made a few more. No drone strikes on any of them.
Fabrication can save the day. Ever see the fabrication in WW2 that allowed the Americans to break through the hedgerows? How about when the Russians were putting tires on top of their planes so (NATO) the Ukrainian's ISR was seriously degraded.
If you rerun the video, look at the T90. Several drone hits, and the tank only has minor damage. The newest T72, T80, T90 all have built in drone protection.
That's the strength of the Russian MIC-:very rapid feedback/implementation loop.
