Prima o poi devo decidermi a procurarmi anch'io una pressa decente... Per gli archi uso la Bowmaster, ma è macchinosa, lenta e piuttosto scomoda, poi non può essere usata con archi che abbiano i flettenti post- paralleli, per le balestre compound non ho nessuna pressa che vada bene, in emergenza devo ricorrere ad un cacciaviti rivestito di nastro da infilare tra flettente e cam per bloccare quest'ultima 😂!!

grazie Nicola, si ho visto anche io che il "metodo cacciavite" in emergenza può funzionare ma se non sbaglio non permette di fare manutenzione o cambiare i cavi ma solo la corda. inoltre mi spaventa un po' il fatto che tutta la forza dei flettenti sia scaricata in un singolo punto sulle cam e sui flettenti stessi. il rischio di danneggiare qualche componente mi sembra molto alto. questa pressa è davvero semplice da realizzare. basta una piccola saldatrice e un po' di pazienza e attenzione nel costruire i 4 appoggi per i flettenti.

No, volendo ce la fai a cambiare anche i cavi, devi farlo bloccando una cam alla volta.
Sul canale YT di "The field archer", c'è un video ("Center Point Sniper cam lock out of timing and string change" ), in cui mostra come fare, però hai ragionissima sul fatto che è un metodo improprio che rischia sicuramente di procurare danni, poi non è attuabile su tutte le balestre, dipende da come sono realizzate le fresature delle cam.
È un metodo assolutamente sconsigliato, la pressa è senza dubbio l'unico vero modo di pressare in maniera corretta un arco od una balestra.
Io non sono nemmeno lontanamente bravo come te a fare questi lavori, nè ho l'attrezzatura necessaria, sarò costretto a comprarla od a rompere le scatole a qualche amico 😁🙄..
Guarda se hai una saldatrice o un amico che ce l'ha è davvero un progettino semplice. come dico nel video devi solo studiarti con un po' di attenzione i 4 appoggi in modo da non rovinare i flettenti che sono quasi sempre di fibra di vetro quindi un po' fragili. inizialmente non riuscivo a tenere la balestra in posizione così ho pensato ai quattro pezzetti di piattina che ho poi verniciato di rosso e ho risolto il problema. tutto il resto ti assicuro che lo fai in mezza giornata. i prezzi di quelle commerciali sono ridicoli secondo me.

La più economica è quella della Booster, che ormai costerà intorno ai 500 €, a cui devi poi aggiungere un'altra cinquantina di euro (se non ricordo male), per comprare l'adattatore per le balestre... Praticamente un furto, se pensi che sono quattro pezzi di tubolare!!
...se vai da un fabbro e gliela fai fare dandogli le misure te la cavi con 50€ al massimo!
Couldn’t you use a bar clamp ?
to use a simple bar clamp is dangerous both for you and your crossbow. if you are in an emergency situation you can rather use the "screwdriver method" but you risk to crack or chip the limbs of the crossbow anyway. the best practice is to use a crossbow press that applies its force to the very tip of the libs. this way the libs will bend all their length long minimizing the stress they have to bear.
I must have missed it, but I didn't see where the press made contact with the limbs.

Hi Hunter, the contact points are at the top of the 4 fingers, behind the small red holders, covered with leather to avoid that the limbs of the xbow can be scratched by the press. you can see them at 2:13 with the xbow and at 3:44 without the xbow. at 4:16 you can see me placing the xbow in the press. and then at 8:38 I took a couple of pictures of them with and without the xbow. particularly in these pictures you can see clearly the leather pads.

Scusa nn sono ancora pratico e non ho una balestra ma sto pensando di prendere proprio questa... Hai modificato la potenza? Perchè le frecce vanno più in profondità?
ciao, no non ho modificato nulla. la penetrazione è quella originale. cosa intendi quando dici "più in profondità"? rispetto a cosa?
@@gianluca666 hai messo prima la penetrazione a 30 metri dove le frecce entravano tutte e dopo a 25 metri dove entravano in parte come a dire che c è stato un prima e un dopo, e pensavo che avevi modificato qualcosa
Ah, ho capito, no era solo per dimostrare che a distanze diverse la precisione resta molto alta. chiaramente se passi a 50m la precisione diminuisce ma purtroppo non ho lo spazio per fare prove a quelle distanze
