The highest spec 5 speed can take more than 1000nm und 600horses, so no need to strengthen. If you take the first gen 7G, that can take up to 730nm so also good and it'll run properly with few inputs. Give it the rear end of the E500 or E420CDi and you'll have low rpm at cruising speed and good connection from each gear and not a too short ratio from a standstill, to make it feel nervous

You can go check out dieselpumpuk channel. He makes all the performance part you need for the Mercedes om606 and can get way more power than this using a mechanical injection pump. He does with stock internal parts cause these engines are beefy from the factory. Go check his channel out. I'm putting one in my 98 jeep wrangler and my 00 Wrangler
it is impossible to make power without smoke, this is an old engine, smoke emission at that time was different than now. So it doesn't need any smoke controlling system at that time. However, it is a true legend.
He charges 9000 Swedish crowns to modify the pump with injectors and adjust it, shipping excluded, and you send your pump to him, then the rest of the engine is up to you
I have a question . Two screws holding the injection pump or broken at that moment started to smoke and go off. I gave the pump down and I gave the maximum left wheel goes ok it does not smoke anymore but it does not have the wind and it sounds very tangy how can i set up and I pump to go as before

So u made 400+ hp without smoke or you just hiding smoking scene..... I am aiming for 350-380hp as less smoke as possible from om605 (i would like to be completly smokeless 🤔)
@@amerbeganovic2259 a mechanical pump can’t be ‘remapped’ you turn screws to adjust fuelling, and about the smoke due to the massive turbo and antiquated fuel system it’s very hard to get smokeless om606’s unless you have tiny turbo

One of the best diesel engines ever made. Now put that in a G with a 5-speed MB strengthened automatic...
