I think you should not let go of your outhaul when furling, you see in the video the sail starts to go go wild and it can get stuck in the mast. It’s best you keep it under some tension so it goes in smoothly
Loosening of the boom vang when furling in the sail will cause the Sail to roll in loosely, leech will be loose (not stretched) increasing probability of creases rolling into the mast which may cause sail Ty jam when rolling back out.
Hey thanks for a clear and nice video. I have one question though. The loosening of the vang. Why is that important? Since we are pretty new to sailing we have not paid much attention to that yet. thinking that was mainly for fine tuning of trim.

Mine is really hard to roll in or out...any suggestions?

This type of furling mast is not strong as the traditional mast?
