Because Chelsea were winning trophies and getting to finals within the decade before the takeover, so the takeover was more getting us over the edge to compete for major trophies whilst Man City were built from scratch and then started winning trophies

He tends to leave once he’s done that. Third, you have 115 charges my friend, and if only 1 you are found guilty if you’re completely finished. So what are the chances of that? No matter how good your lawyers are they cannot clear all 115. City chokehold is coming to an end either way

Can someone explain to me (an American) why everyone hates City so much and them investing in their squad when they're not even in the top 5 of spenders in the Premier league? Is the hate because of their success? Should historicaly uncessful teams remain unsuccessful? Is becoming successful a bad thing for the league?
They cheated to become successful, broke multiple financial rules in place to stop teams just spending money on themselves to improve. It’s allowed within reason, measured by how much they earn, if every team was allowed to just spend on themselves to become better then it’s carnage and there’d be no competition as every team would be maxed out and inflation would go through the roof in football

@@Producerji1 the allegations are made by the actual premier league, the league they play in, and UEFA I think or something like that, an actual footballing organization body has accused Manchester City of breaching 115 charges which is why you see people online calling them “115”. And no no other team does what they have done because it’s against the rules, City did this by tampering with their financial records and leaving out information, for a number of years about dealings behind closed doors, go and research and learn more about the matter, but that’s why people don’t mind if city win trophies because it’s very tainted and means nothing they are essentially cheats in world football

I'm no Liverpool fan but their 2nd place teams that LOST the title in the 2018/19 and 2021/22 seasons would dominate pretty much all teams in prem history. You've got to apply context. City and Liverpool have probably shown us the best teams of all time. A 97 point season for Liverpool in 2018/19 is crazy. In ANY other season they'd win the league
False. Citys 22/23 season trble winning team is the best premier league team to ever exist, and also the best version of city, Liverpool don’t hold a candle to that. Think about it, if Liverpool were losing to the 2018 city’s and the 2020 city’s imagine 22/23 with haaland and Kdb and a matured Rodri and bernardo. Liverpools prime was good for their time but football has evolved and I’m afraid if those 21//22 squads were placed in this season’s premier league they’d be in the same spot title fighting with city and arsenal but not favourites

If Fergusson was Guardiola and City's contemporary, he wouldn't have won half as much as he did.

What you’re missing out on Klopp is the style of play which is the most entertaining in the world, the insane pts hauls and win streaks as we got record breaking pts hauls against a doped City side…….that is why he is compared with the best.
