25:39 What's even funnier is that most of this epilogue is anime-original. So while it feels like the ending to a visual novel route, it actually wasn't in the visual novel at all. The ending to the route in the visual novel is pretty much just the stuff in the school
Yeah this is actually where i can give props to anime and say that surpassed the source material,the ending here gives you much more context to Shirou's inner struggles after the war and what kind of a future it will lead him even if it's still mostly left to a viewer's interpritation......
Fun fact: rin and luvia are indirectly related.
Basically a long time ago during the second or third holy grail war a pair of European twins traveled to japan to participate in the war. After the war ended one of the twins decided to stay in Japan as part of the tohsaka clan while the other twin returned to Europe and the Edelfelt family.
They even both have the same gem based magecraft.
I will clear up the thing you weren't sure of: 1.it was during the third grail war,Edelfelt's are Finnland.Also it wasn't simply that they parted way's there were basically a love triange between them and the Tohsaka family head.He saw that as an opportunity to put them against each other cuz Edelfelt's would be the winner's otherwise.(They won't have their wish granted cuz only member's of three families knew that lesser grail is needed but still.)So they basically almost killed each other;The sister that lost flew away but because their Saber's shared spirit core the other Saber soon dissapeared as well and she figured out that Tohsaka just used her!She flew away as well because of that but sister's relationship's would never be the same so she could not return to Finland and builded a manshion in Fuyuki that was hiden away from Tohsaka's but she was already pregnant at that point from him and later Edelfelt's kid's reunited by talking things out and understanding that it was Tohsaka's fault.So Luvia hates Tohsaka's despite partially being one......

All we know last time I checked, was that the twins were antagonizing each other and at the end the youngest was either defeated and taken as a trophy or outright betrayed her family for the Tohsaka. The eldest one returned home starting the hate for the Tohsaka.
We really have no details unless the new El Melloi books went into detail.
Wait thats the third holy grail war? I remember this in hollow ataraxia but I couldn't remember what was the purpose of those characters. Didn't they have like saber and saber alter too 😂
@@jgobea0188 Angra is trying to recreate the 3rd HGW but since he doesn't know all of the Masters and Servants he replaced them with those of the 5th war.
If you are interested, after you watch Heaven's Feel, you could watch Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files, it's a spin off set between Fate/Zero and Stay Night, and it's focused on that long haired character around 23:20
I’m sure you’ve probably figured it out by now, but the guy talking to Shirou in this episode was Waiver from Fate Zero 10+ years later. He has his own series called Lord ElMelloi II Case Files which honestly is probably the one series that ties a lot of characters from other Fate and Nasuverse series together more so than any other I’m aware of other than maybe Fate Strange Fake which I’m not too familiar with yet as I’m waiting for the anime. There’s only 1 season of the anime for Case Files so far but the manga has a lot more volumes.
UBW is like the "time traveller moves a chair" meme, whereas Heaven's Feel is the "time traveller steps on a lego block" one... don't know if that's accurate but that's how I feel about it, haha...
Yeah that's preety accurate,even tho Shirou's action was less significcant in Heaven's feel than UBW and yet because this action allowed him to meet Zouken everything goes down spirral.
Each route has its meaning:
fate stay night (2006): accept fate (saber route).
fate UBW (anime and movie 2014): change fate(rin route).
fate heven feels: reject fate(sakura route)

I have no idea if they'll animate it or not, but there's a “sequel” visual novel that takes place after the events of Stay Night called Hollow Ataraxia. There, we pretty much get a glimpse of a good or ideal ending for all of the characters (save for a few).
Just to clarify, Shirou didn`t became Archer
The apple thing is just a little fun thing that people do in Japan, they sometimes peel it so it looks like bunny ears.
Luvia is Rin`s rival and her distant relative (most likely relative, it`s complicated). Shirou actually saved Luvia`s life when they met for the first time and this, combined with fact that he is Rin`s man, made him really interesting for her.
When's Heaven's Feel coming out? That's personally my favourite route.

This is True ending. There is good ending to this route actually, and it`s even animated. Look up for Sunny Day OVA.

16:18 yes this is the clocktower. Pretty much Hogwarts in the Fate universe, but if it also served as the ministry of magic too. Waver even shows up, that is him at 23:40 he took the teachers name and now teaches there, he has a spinoff series too.
20:12 yea they make apple slices into rabbits for decoration, it is a simple thing, kinda cute, one of the Japanese restaurants here has this on the side with their plate lunches.

One thing with the visual novel is that technically you could play the routes in whatever order you choose, but they're written with the intent that you go Fate -> UBW -> Heaven's Feel. When the game had a rerelease they made it so you are almost forced to go in that order, since there's things like Archer's identity which is assumed knowledge during Heaven's Feel, but it never explicitly states as much. Another similar note is with Assassin's first appearance in this. It's actually almost the exact same as in the Fate route, so in the visual novel, the scene is basically skipped over, but the anime decided to show it completely because it didn't want to rely on prior knowledge about the series
You couldn't play the routes in whatever order you liked. On your first plythrough you would be forced on the Fate route because the choices that take you to the other two routes are not available at all. So the only way you could play it was Fate -> UBW -> Heaven's feel. And that was in the original release, not Realta Nua
You are forced to go in that order actually, the choice for UBW doesn't even exist before you do Fate, and Heavens Feel can't be done until UBW is done
