Are they both sapele back and sides? If not the comparison isn’t down to brand flavour but woods itself. Even laminated rosewood will give you more high end overtones than solid sapele. If same woods fair enough if not apples and oranges.
Good review - I love that you don't reveal which guitar is A or B and that removes unconscious bias. I play Taylor and love the balanced tone but the Eastman sounds like it has more at each end
I retire in 45 days and am also getting myself set up for my old(er) age. All I play is small guitars and, never satisfied, I'm definitely buying the Eastman. Good luck.
i had a gs mini whihc i had to return due to the ES2 system being too right and sensitive. I have only just discovered that eastman make a 23 inch scale length guitar .
Taylor wins if you listen through a good set of headphones. Especially when strummed. Taylor has better bass response and the Eastman sounds a little boxy or hollow sounding when strummed. Eastman wasn't far from the Taylor though. I wasn't disappointed with it. But I would prefer the Taylor.
Handmade all solid wood construction with bone nut and ebony fretboard..give me the Eastman any day. The GS minis are so much fun to play and they really do sound great but you can't beat the Eastman for under $600
Both sound well, but GSmini has more bass and softer mediums, when the Eastman is a little bit "boxy" in the mediums (like a Taylor Baby). Maybe the reason is in part due to the difference of Body Depth: GSmini= 4 7/16"(=11,27cm), ACTG1=3 13/16" (9,7cm). For a larger nut at width than those two (1 11/16 = 42,86mm), i choose the Martin 000Jr Shawn Mendes (widthnut 1 3/4, =44,5mm) all solid woods, sound as good as the GSmini . But of course i 'd like to try in real condition that Eastman model , to check those mediums.
There’s literally no comparison Eastman is a solid wood guitar. Taylor is laminate cheap. The Eastman will age much better. Buy the Taylor if you want to have a name brand buy the Eastman if you want a better built guitar for the price dollar for dollar
The Taylor has more upper treble brilliance. The Eastman has a warmer sound. It's a matter of preference but I think I'd go for the Taylor, though I love Eastman's electric guitars.
It must be mentioned that the taylor comes with 13 gauge string, while eastman is with 12 gauge strings equipped. Not everyone wants to play with 13 gauge strings, especially beginners. Thx for the comparison!
Strings are wayyy easy to change out. Other specs, not so much. Many production guitars are sold with the idea that many players will change them out anyway, often right away.
@@jwukulele its not about the difficulty of changing the strings, its about the difference in sound in general while using „heavier“ strings and and the sound demonstrated in the comparison. To make this comparison more accurate it is needed to create similar terms for both guitars , wich are for example to use strings of the same caliber.
Eastman all solid, osso vero, etcetc, Taylor only top solid etcetc ma suona meglio, suona come chitarra grande, Eastman scatolata si sente che è una chitarra piccolina, nello strumming soprattutto
The Eastman is way more resonant and has a lot more complexity in its overtones

I have to admit I could not detect any real difference between the two.......Great Demo!
Hard to tell...I bought the Eastman. Great size for my old age...thanks for the demo 🎶🎶🎶

Agree but the Eastman has more "body" if you listen to the single note. It's more definite.
泰勒更均衡!低音不那么过重! Eastman的高音更优美,扫弦泰勒更好!
I preferred the Eastman!
Eastman😍
Eastman all day!

@@jwukulele Nice excuse?
EASTMAN, solid wood over laminate all day every day...
Taylor for everything except soloing. Eastman has more sparkle so I’ll give the solo to Eastman. Taylor for me though , and I’m a big Eastman fan
Nice presentation. Excellent playing. Taylor wins
全單還是好很多...高音真漂亮

gs mini更明亮 A
mic? interface? tank you
全换为伊利克斯012磷铜你会发现Eastman更好
没得比,差距太大。全面超越
