BuckETheaDs song book is like 28 lifetimes worth of music its all amazing man just an endless barrage we r not worthy & thanks for reacting to something thats not soothsayer
Thank you for the insightful review. Really enjoyed it. Not many reactors have the expertise to breakdown BH. BTW the drummer sounds like long-time Buckethead collaborator Bryan Mantia (“Brain”). Cheers! 🎸
If you like this you should listen to TELESCAPE. Album. Especially TELESCAPE part 1. He creates an entire world of sounds and some parts make you laugh cause he is being silly. His playful genius really shines through on that one.
His playing isn't the only impressive thing in this video, your analysis and understanding of music is great, I really enjoy these breakdowns instead of just a reaction with bland commentary
@@setonhillstudios no worries brother! I've left a request on buymeacoffee for 'Mountainous Mine', just a heads up if you do that review, there's two uploads of it on RUclips but one doesn't have the low frequency band audio included
My two favorites right now are Glacier and Barren... Oh, warm. Your Ancestors is great too. My currnet favorites change about every month and eventually come back again depending on hown Im feeling
Man i hope one day someone puts some lyrics too these and make one off singles too these songs. Just hope they keep it metal or rock and it get done well.
You are absolutely correct... Buckethead is an amazing writer of music! That's what truly separates him from the other great guitarists, IMO. If you want to listen to something truly epic, Poseidon parts 4-6 will blow your mind!
Thanks for doing this reaction. Buckethead's the GOAT. 🤘If you want to do more, maybe try Wall Slide. Once you hit "the riff," you'll understand the title.
You can get lost in his 700 plus pike albums, best heavy pike is telescape, best bluesy pike is in the hollow hills, best melodic dreamy pike, rise of the blue lotus. My three favs but truly there's so much its hard to narrow it down.
Great request. Great reaction. This is a much better representation of Buckethead. Soothsayer is, as far as the layout of the song, a pretty mediocre song, in my opinion. It's not a bad song but I can't seem to understand why it's everybody's first suggestion when recommending Buckethead when there's literally hundreds of way more interesting tracks. Buckethead is an absolute riff master. Check out Florrmat for 25 minutes of monster riff after monster riff. If you want to hear Buckethead's melodic side, Footsteps is essentially beautiful melodies over a basic 3 chord progression looped for like 20 minutes.
Totally agree. Soothsayer isn't in the top 100 tracks for me, probably top 200+. His capacity for coming up with riffs is just ridiculous. The letimotif riff in Language of the Mosaics is a case in point. Also the opening of Grammercy Park, which is insanely addictive. But there are literally 100s. Footsteps is one I just keep coming back to. It's completely soothing. I'd add Buildor as a suggestion because of the way it is so perfectly constructed. The 2 parts are like 2 movements of a guitar concerto.
@@VenLon I think Soothsayer is great, but it does get more attention than it probably deserves (thanks to Guitar Hero). Unfortunately, it overshadows so many other amazing tracks that he has. Footsteps is great and I love Buildor as well. However, I think Poseidon is even better than Buildor in terms of your guitar concerto description. Poseidon parts 4-6 is probably the greatest guitar instrumental I've ever heard. Just unbelievably great. Sounds like epic movie soundtrack stuff. I can't get enough Buckethead!
@@TheRealAchilleZ I'd like to present this person with my Intro to Buckethead collection: Mount Shasta, Pitch Dark, Wall to Wall Cobwebs, Poseidon 4-6, and Celery. If nothing in there sparks some interest, he/she may be a lost cause.

Shores of Molokai is an insanely INSANELY good Pike too man. 5 Masters of Decapitation is one I couldn't shut off for months it's so heavy.
Appreciate the suggestions! Dude is definitely a BEAST!
