I had the awesome chance opportunity to meet Mr. Hefron in a deli in Philadelphia (Gooey Looies) while traveling(2010). Sat down and had a hoagie and chatted for about an hour. All the while the deli workers watched over us and protected him from any harm. He was a daily regular there. What a wonderful experience it was!

Great video - I have a copy of the book personalised for me by Ed Pepping (one of the lesser known medics of Company E - WIA in Normandy) I was close with Ed and knew him very well through a mutual friend we had in Aldbourne - I live nearby). He added a lot of additional information and images to the book, along with some sand from Utah Beach. A prized possession of mine.

I made a special trip to visit this museum 2 years ago and arrived to find it closed despite website showing it was open. Extra 4+ hours drive out of my way. Looks great but it was quite lousy situation. I did visit gravesite of Richard Winters on that day to pay my respects so all was not lost.

Would love to see you cover the history of 10th Mountain Division in WW2 and showcase artifacts and their history especially Riva ridge Battle. Would love to see a video of you visiting Fort Drum Museum in NY or the exhibit in Colorado. I know you are a very busy man just throwing my 2cents in, as always have a blessed day and adventure!

Can confirm those are genuine screen used. I have been fortunate enough to acquire lots of uniforms and equipment from the series. Fun fact those white embroidered tags inside the collar were only used for a short period while assembling the costumes for the production. During filming the extras were stealing the wardrobe and because there were many costumes to keep track of they ditched the tags.

A good 15 years ago or so I was in the Ruskin Florida area at a Golden Corral with my grandma. I was maybe 13 or so. I noticed an old man wearing a WW2 Vet hat. I can't remember now whether it was 101st Airborne or not, but I pointed him out to my grandma. Unfortunately I was too shy to go say anything to him, but my grandma took me right over there and struck up a conversation. Not sure how it came up, but he asked if I'd ever seen Band of Brothers and said because that's what he did in the war. I (now) embarrassingly said no, because I hadn't at the time. I've always wondered who that was. I doubt someone from Easy, but never know.

I fail to understand your ongoing fascination with mere Hollywood *actors*. Sure, they’ve portrayed historically-significant characters, but have sacrificed *very* little, relatively speaking.
Yes, the vast majority of our *true* heroes have since passed on. However, actors are largely wealthy and privileged-beyond the imagination of our legendary American heroes (most of whom could not have begun to imagine or achieve such obscene wealth and notoriety-although each of them deserved it), whilst the actors never actively engaged in anything genuinely dangerous or even remotely related to saving America, our lovely Constitutional Republic, or even Europe. Plus, and as far as I am aware, zero actor blood was spilled.
Thus, why the elevated status and idolization?

I’m quite passionate about telling those other stories. When I throw out a video like this, think of it as touching base to bring in more people who will hopefully stick around for the other history. Today, I spent time shooting artifact videos about Vietnam, the Iraq War and a whole bunch of other stuff. So be patient with me when you see a video like this drop. 🙂
