      Whereas the cheapest Swiss tourbillon is around 15,000 usd!

      It depends on how close it is to plastic deformation. Could be 20 minutes, could be 20 centuries. There is a level of stress below which any material can handle an infinite number of loading cycles.

    The only downfall is that the rest of the clock assembly is going to cover the entire table.

      This model only explains the tourbillon mechanism and will not indicate the time. Maybe a future model

    Your nerd level is at least 1000. I 3d print, but making thermal plastic fit with tolerance, and on top of that work for you. 1000.

      It was printed with a resin printer, not your typical fdm printer, the tolerances are a lot more accurate and the print detail is so fine you cant see the layer lines

    ...and just when I think there are no more parts which will fit on top of the parts, more parts are added. Then it makes a huge screeching noise like a harpy and starts counting down. It does not explode because modern bombs don't tick.
    Seriously though, this is one hell of a 3D print. Well done.

    No way this actually works. I would never think that plastic could be elastic enough to support this kind of mechanism. Amazing.
    I feel just how I would feel if someone 3d printed a coffee pot and made coffee in it.

    I can understand how the tourbillon rotates, but how is the power transferred from the gear train to the escapement/tourbillon? The escapement usually bridges the balance wheel and the gear train, but in this case, is there a pinion/gear underneath at the center the tourbillon that connects it to the gear train?

      The price depends on the number to be produced and I test different 3d printing technologies in order to propose a model at a good price.

      You could try Onshape or Fusion 360. We use that at school for 3d modeling
