Great, I like your new initiative and looking forward seeing next... If I ask you what best on-line source of Port wines is, for you? I know there are plenty of but for you?? cheers
I'm always on the lookout for that one source that has it all, but I haven't found it yet. My go to sites are Garrafeira Nacional, Soares, Portugal Vineyards and onwine. But even most of them aren't using an ecommerce platform that can handle all of the variations in the port world, so I often find myself scrolling page after page. For small producers it's really tough. For those I usually just have to run in to Lado Wines or one of the smaller shops. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Dude, I'm so glad you dropped more content. Much appreciated. The tasting room is absolutely beautiful, I'm looking forward to going. Is there some sort of deluxe/VIP package available that would gain access to the older vintages?
They list an "Exclusive Experience" on their website with "4 select port wines", but for 160€ I would want to know what I was getting. But I'm sure they would share that with you. Actually, I think I'll go ahead and ask them... If you want to make sure you are sampling the wines you want I would just contact them directly and find out about setting up a private tour. Ask for the Blue Tiles Room or something equally snazzy. And if you do this please let me know how it goes. Thanks again for commenting.
No, it was the "Vintage Port Visit". The names they use for the various tours aren't necessarily intuitive. Their page lists a "Premium Douro DOC" visit but that's just thet table wines.
Have you visited Ferreira's Port Lodge Tour? Let us know your thoughts!
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience.
