For a few years I lived with my family in a condo that overlooked a small field with a small creek running adjacent to the field and especially during this time of year there was always deer roaming around. I would play video games or watch movies in the basement and the deer couldn't see inside the house cause the lights were on. But in the basement there was a large glass sliding door that opened to the field and creek the deer would walk right up to the glass door but in the evening when it's was already dark outside but the lights on the house they couldn't see me inside just 5-8 feet away. It was so cool I loved it and miss seeing the deer roaming around being deer. So I understand looking forward to having your house built and watching the deer roaming around coming and going just being deer
Pretty cool that you were able to attract a sponsor on such a small channel. Doesn't hurt to have another channel with a few hundred thousand subscribers I imagine! 😂
I have built two RUclips channels to over 100k subscribers. This will be my third. This channel gives me the most options for content. I'll never stop the woodworking channel but it's looking like this will be my primary focus for content creation going forward. Woodworking is a hobby and a skill. This is my life.
Just be thankful that its 30F and not 30C out there (which is going to be me this week). 30F you can rug up for and manage to be somewhat productive. At 30C it gets quickly into the easy chair in the shade/breeze (if any) and a cooler of fizzy drinks. Can't get much done with all the sweat running into your eyes (yeah, hot and humidity that's just short of rain)
If you happen to get a land plane you will have an easier time refreshing your driveway rather than using your box blade. Land plane also has ripper if needed.
Living on a creek and being at a ripple shallow area, I actually haven’t seen any advantage of the shallow water crossing however all the wildlife is pretty thick out here as it’s kinda illegal to shoot guns here with an explosive plant near ish by.
Mind you, atf can’t stop us from using guns on our property unless they determine your shooting towards the plant. I believe the law is within 5 miles or something. I am up against their property line and within a mile.
This probably wasn't on your plan, but given all the water you collect there I think your best bet will be to cut a swale in between the shop and house.
Check out tiny shiny home , they have two videos on making a Berm & Swale for the high Desert (not your situation, but redirecting water should be the same).

Jay - congrats on all your progress. You mentioned using a grader blade for your gravel drive. Consider getting a land plane instead.
Looking good! I know your videos “compress” time for us, you viewers, but that shop went up fast. I can see the excitement in your face. 👏🏻👏🏻
I was thinking the same thing. so nice to see a project going smoothly.
If the mud gets any worse you are going to need tire chains for the tractor
Goin downhill. Looking good Jay mister!
It's better to have a partnership with Bad Boy Tractors then Bad Boy Records these days 😬 Enjoying the content as always !
Moving right along, Jay. Good to see.

It's part of the plan.
Permaculture for the win!

What is the R-value of the insulation battens that the crew installed? Looks pretty thin from afar
R-10
I was wondering: do the guys who are building your shop but also the electrical company etc. know who you are?
Only friends and family know my online business. Every contractor or person I've worked with locally didn't know.
Looking good
