I had the same speaker and i ubgraded it to a real one design. I put an oval driver and a tweeter like the original one. I used xy-py40w and tuned the prs down to 37hz and you can actually hear the lows and it beats jbl charge 3 and 4 in sound quality
I will try and see what the best option is for the upgrade. Anyways had to upload this video early so everyone can see how it looks before they buy it.
I suggest you to upgrade it just by doing a small modification on the original board, replace the speaker driver with a better pair and try to add 3 18650 but stores 25000 mah instead of the previous battery Edit: and try to air tight seal it before finishing the upgrade
what a treat i was just thinking of your videos lately! my awei y669 driver circuit fried long ago recently i made a new speaker using its parts (passive radiators two speakers and the subwoofer) with xiny xy-e30h i dont remember the sound of the late speaker but this one sounds really good base is fine but under full volume the speakers make crackling sounds i think they cant handle the load although the amplifier is rated 5-30w 4-8 ohms i dont know if i should replace the two drivers or not

You can still use it while charging but its recommended that you don't do it, because the speaker board is already heating up during the charging process.

You should do one of those jbl pulse review again, i've heard some have the light travel all around, but I kinda dont wanna risk it

Adding 3 batteries requires more space, that means it's going to need modification to the enclosure.

Yes, theirs a dedicated LED button for it. I'm just saying the addition of the LEDs to the speaker just makes the whole design looks weird and ugly.
