Once again, another L taken by the dyslexic community. You know, I've actually dedicated the past 7 years of my life to specifically bullying people with dyslexia over the internet. I have built up a bulky catalogue over the years, storing each persons name, social medias, phone numbers, and occasionally even addresses so I can harass them at any point in time. I spend at least half of my day simply researching which people online have dyslexia, and because of my persistent work towards my cause, I have catalogued a total of 61,637 people (and growing by the second). It has gotten to the point of where I have partially automated the process by having several different bots sort through social media posts 24/7 and if my skillfully selected group of keywords bring in enough matches, that person will be added to the database. I am actually the main owner of the critically acclaimed (17 followers) Twitter account, "Dyslexics Taking L's", and have gained major traction on several tweets, with my most popular tweet reaching 50 likes and 1,285 quote retweets. And I've even put my Reddit community of r/DyslexicHate to good use, and have made my catalogue visible to all 88 members of the community so we can keep the online harassment at maximum efficiency. I have even put several of those people on paid wages to keep things moving more consistently. I have every dyslexic person on my list AUTO-BLOCKED on all platforms and I don't plan for that to change anytime soon either. Mark my words, I will eventually erase dyslexic people off the internet, and hopefully eventually the planet. Most of those internet NORMIES would take this as me being a crazy, insane, or unstable person, but at least I have a cause I'm putting myself towards, and I have the willpower to go all the way through with it. everybody is here talking about how this may become a character trait for tails in the future, but I'm pretty sure it already has been for a while. In the old cartoons, he often wrote words with backwards letters, had a hard time reading, and still had to sound out two syllable words at the age of ten. In the games, tails' difficulty reading was a running joke in sonic colors. I'm pretty sure tails having a hard time with written language was always meant to be a part of his character.
Tails could read just fine in Colors, I'm pretty sure, it was just the translator being fucky. I'm surprised he could get that thing working at all, speaking of which.
Sonic actually never corrected Tails in Colors. The 'porpoise' bit was just the translator messing up. Iirc the line went something like: "-and he's using it for an evil… aquatic mammal? An evil dolphin? A porpoise? Oh! An evil purpose!" Sonic's response was just to tell him that it's good intel and to keep working on it. Tails figured it out on his own. Aside from that, the ending cutscene shows that the translator is in hexidecimal code (although Tails says binary code earlier in the game for some reason. Maybe he switched, idk), and I kinda get the feeling Sonic wouldn't be able to read that ^^'
that would honestly be a cute detail to make canon. tails is The Smart One, so having him of all characters be dislexic while hes also building planes and jury-rigging beam cannons would do a lot to show kids (and people in general) that just because someone is dislexic doesnt mean theyre stupid, it just means they have trouble reading ik this is not an accurate depiction of dislexia but like generally speaking if they were to do that i would be happy

Kinda cute that Tails has a IQ egal to Eggman's, can make machines and war weapons, translator used to understand aliens language but struggle to simply read
I mean I know it ain't lore but my immediate thought was remembering the time that Tails wanted knuckles to read the words from Gigan stone and I know it's because knuckles is a treasure hunter but I know that Tails is smart enough to piece stories together hence why he was explaining what the wings meant. Some detail I just thought it was worth sharing since this took place in sonic riders zero gravity. I mean it's strange enough with how he can read nonbinary code. But if you notice he slows down in sonic colors when he reads the right words following alongside the faulty ones because of his device. Almost making little cute stutters when he does in the cutscenes.

@@clawcakes Ah I see! Thank you for the explanation! You see my friends always call me neurodivergent and I've never understood what they meant by that haha! They always tell me that whenever I start rambling on about my favorite species of monkeys, gorillas, and just primates in general! And they always call me that right after I explain where the idea of monkey's loving bananas comes from. And you know, it's actually a really obscure fun fact! So it turns out, Harry Frederick Harlow (October 31, 1905 - December 6, 1981) who was best known for his maternal-separation experiments, actually loved bananas himself! So when he was working with the chimpanzees, he would always just feed them what he was snacking on at the moment, which usually was: you guessed it! A banana! Just thought that it was interesting as monkeys in reality seem to enjoy a variety of fruits and bugs to munch on! But the idea that monkeys love bananas did in fact come from Harry Frederick Harlow. Thanks for reading if you made it this far! Haha
i think tails has alway had this little trait! In the cartoons he often wrote letter backwards or switched out his S’s and Z’s. He also has trouble reading things out in a few pieces of media i can’t quite recall the names of those ones at the moment but there are definetly a few examples of this!
Being a genius does not mean you’re always going to get things right Even when you grow up and mature, you’ll always screw up and it’s not something people should get mad at you for. It’s almost like it’s a natural thing to mess up.
That's not dyslexia. That's just pronouncing things incorrectly. *(Looks up dyslexia)* Huh. No, there's actually a point here. I always thought dyslexia was just jumbling the words and letters you're reading, but it actually seems to be reading difficulties in general. Tails does probably have dyslexia. He just has a kind that where he has trouble separating new words into accurate syllables. Like when he read "Tophat," instead of the easy "Top Hat," he thought it read "To(e) Phat," like someone with a freakishly big and fat toe.
Dude! I'm so happy you looked it up!! I've been going through comment after comment, reading how people think what Tails has ISN'T Dyslexia and explain why only to see them describing the literal definition of Dyslexia. 1 out of 5 people have them. I would know cuz I have it too and I struggled deeply. Dyslexia comes in many forms and can range from mild to severe. Tails has mild Dyslexia. Haha
@@kaseejay761 People who think differently than normal, such as autistic or dyslexic people.
adhd and autism (and dyslexia) solidarity
Love the voices
i think tails has alway had this little trait! In the cartoons he often wrote letter backwards or switched out his S’s and Z’s. He also has trouble reading things out in a few pieces of media i can’t quite recall the names of those ones at the moment but there are definetly a few examples of this!
I relate to him so much right now it's not even a joke
I’m dyslexic, and I agree
Coleen in the background belike: I don’t get paid enough for this
I adore how you made the tiny doodle versions of them the ones from the sonic mania concept art booklet.
holy shoot, i love this design. its perfect!😂😂😂
Ok, Tails, you didn't have this much trouble the last time! Seriously! I guess it just cyberspace!
0:20 SALTY TAILS IS CANON!
Remember tails can read in binary code
Being a genius does not mean you’re always going to get things right
Even when you grow up and mature, you’ll always screw up and it’s not something people should get mad at you for. It’s almost like it’s a natural thing to mess up.
As a dyslexic myself I can relate
Reading can be a pain sometimes
That's not dyslexia. That's just pronouncing things incorrectly.
*(Looks up dyslexia)* Huh. No, there's actually a point here. I always thought dyslexia was just jumbling the words and letters you're reading, but it actually seems to be reading difficulties in general.
Tails does probably have dyslexia. He just has a kind that where he has trouble separating new words into accurate syllables. Like when he read "Tophat," instead of the easy "Top Hat," he thought it read "To(e) Phat," like someone with a freakishly big and fat toe.
oh shit you're right! There's like... four different kinds of dyslexia apparently
I came here for the funny but ended up learning something important.
Love when that happens.
But what I'm really here to say is that I'm glad you looked up the learning disability and corrected yourself and learned something new. It makes me really happy that people (like yourself) take the time to understand and correct themselves about these sort of things. So thank you
@@SweetHeartRose Is awesome how dumbs things on internet sometimes lead us to actually learn things that we didn't knew before, I had to look up the word and seems very accurate in here!
Yeah man I looked it up awhile ago because I thought I had dyslexia qnd yeah sometimes it is mis pronouncing the words. My dyslexia is more mixing up words or just not even seeing whole words at all lol but yeah I get tails pain here
It's not Tails' fault, it's these people and their creative way to name themselves 🤣🤣🤣
I'm surprised he has trouble when he's one of if not the most smartest characters in the franchise.
Having learning difficulties and been a genius are 2 different things.
You do know that Albert Einstein had Dyslexia, right?
Learning disabilities do not make people stupid y'know.
amy's "tails ..." at the end kills me
This reminds me of how Shadow759’s version of Tails can’t read very well.
Tails is so precious
we stan a dyslexic king
Man he's condition is getting over him lol
I don't think that's dyslexia, Tails just doesn't know how to properly read these twitter handles.
I mean he is 9 tho
@GalacticHypernova I meant 8 but I accidentally put 9 and didnt even notice until now-_-
@@DDDTJ to be fair, they do look kinda similar.
@@DDDTJ is it possible that you have dyslexia? People who are dyslexic do mix letters or numbers (sometimes both) if they're similar and don't realize they made a mistake until someone points it out
@@SweetHeartRose Well it could just be that 8 is literally right next to 9 on literally any keyboard ever-
I mean he is, like, eight. I could see how he has a little public reading trouble
Tails’s 8 so it makes sense that he’s having trouble reading these names😭
This is honestly adorable
Can't blame him tho....People at twitter have a really weird way to create those names
amy sounds so disappointed in the last clip 😢
Come on Tails, just read it correctly 🙄
Hes trying his best 😭
@@warning7555 Well, he sucks
@@warning7555 he needs to try harder
Same vibe as "You're homeless? Just buy a house 🙄"
I love how he just gives up trying to pronounce a word and immediately begins flying as a result of it.
I may have partial dyslexia, which doesn’t quite affect me all that much, but I do understand Tails’ struggle reading those usernames😅
I might have it to cuz idk how to pronounce your username 😭
@@Riannalynn123
It’s “Cam-fren-knee-us,” sorry I didn’t help you out sooner 9 months ago.😅
(Now I think that _I’m_ probably part of the problem now…oops.)
Don't worry Tails, everyone has gone through that phase of life...
To be fair, some of those names can be genuinely tricky to pronounce.
I like how he speeds up when reading numbers.
To be fair, he IS only 8
Sometimes it’s for the bit & sometimes it’s like bloopers.
Honestly same 😂😭 this is why I hate reading out loud.. I promise I’m not stupid I’m just dyslexic
He might have 300 IQ but he still has trouble understanding human letters.
I don't think that tails have dyslexia it's just that name is hard to pronounce
I know your pain Tails words are frustrating 😓
Hey, me too!
