I got you completely on the space pen insert. My gold standard is honestly the pilot G2. Figured since I'm writing so much daily at work I'd step up my pen game though so I have a kyroh in the mail.
I completely agree with you on the Fisher refills. I believe these come with a black bold (?) by default. I recommend the black fine refill. I like it much better. Good luck!
My Microtech Siphon2 came with Fisher Space Pen FINE point cartridge. They are available in Fine, Medium and Bold. The Fine is horrible and feels like it was going to cut thru the paper. I use the BOLD and it is almost as smooth as my MontBlancs.
Yes space pen refills are ok but Parker every day. And I have to admit as a fan of microtech I could not bring myself to drop the money solely for brand loyalty.
It’s an interesting toy. And I would like one, but not for a $165 for the mini and over $250 for the full size even if it’s made from titanium when it’s made in China! I have multiple titanium tactical pens made in China and their excellent and part of my EDC. But I paid only $60 bucks & they use Parker ink refills and write like a dream. And are a serious tactical pens unlike this toy. I am a fan of microtech. I own a Combat Troodon, Delta Dirac, Dirac , Brachial, & an ultra tech, and a Mini Troodon, all made in America. I pay the high dollars for quality knife and materials “ made in America. “I feel immensely ripped off when Microtech thinks it’s ok to slap a Microtech badge on a pen made in China. One quest for you. What is the grip insert made from?

I agree. Pilot G2 is the best. My machine Era Classic takes those. That’s a great pen to. Can’t beat it for the price
