This was perfect! I’ve been considering getting into product management for a little over a year now but really wanting to get a grasp on what the role looks like. I enjoy seeing that you, Alisa, are still able to maintain productivity without feeling so worn out which makes the job enjoyable. I’m in a position where I’m finding myself exhausted by the end of the day due to having lack of structure in the company because other parts of the organization are lagging on their end when it comes producing and that makes it harder to do my job. I’m really looking to explore more as to how I can break into a product management role very soon. Thank you so much for this! 😊
I hope you enjoy this video!! Also, if you're interested in becoming a product manager and you don't know how to land your first product role, check out Exponent for their amazing interview prep courses: www.tryexponent.com/?ref=alisahaman

He Alisa, thanks for the video. As an aspiring PM (not in the tech industry yet) I always find these very interesting. Question: Do you feel that in your experience PMs are financially rewarded fairly compared to I.e. software leads that might be getting paid the same or more for work that is seemingly not as stressful? I’ve not got any strong data to back this up but a few job searches have revealed to me that salary is usually (at least at junior level) less than our software counterparts. Does this vary based on the company? Thanks again.
Hey there! Every company is going to be different in terms of compensation, but I would say that both product managers and software engineers make quite a bit of money, especially compared to other roles in tech, and of course compared to a lot of other industries!
Hey Alisa. Thank you for your effort and knowledgeable information I got selected for the project manager Internship and they have given me a task to plan detailed planning of virtual meet how should I plan and can you help me
