So true about the journalism degree. I've met so many people with degrees in journalism working at fast food restaurants. They tell me "I have a masters. There aren't any jobs in journalism. People don't read anymore."

They do read, they just don't read the truth.
Maybe that’s just the people you know. I have a degree in journalism and it worked out for me, and many of my peers. You have to really love writing and editing, be passionate to really succeed in the field. Also there’s so many other careers you can have with this degree. I don’t think one little bit in comedy is enough to make it the truth or standard, but okay.
