Thanks for your comment! I use lacquer thinner to smooth the surface and prevent it from looking monotonous. I take advantage of the fact that polymer clay dissolves when I use a lacquer thinner. This method can only be used with unfired polymer clay. It cannot be used with stone powder clay, paper clay, air dry clay, etc. I think it's better to use water for air dry clay!

I think it is better to use a design knife or hand grinder to process air dry clay after drying! The polymer clays I recommend are Gray Sculpey and Super Sculpey Medium. The difference between Gray Sculpey and Super Sculpey Medium is the hardness of the clay. Gray Sculpey is softer than Super Sculpey Medium.
