Thank you so much for this video! Now I need to find out if something similar can be done for my Reflecta Super 8 + Scanner.

The best place would be the 8mm forum as there are reflecta users out there.
You can read the forum without joining, also look out for the archived forum which will have a lot of posts going back a long way.

    A worthwhile mod.

It made a huge difference to what I could pull from the cine film from the original wolverine, worth every penny.
It's very frustrating to be at 1fps
When I get my pension, I hope I will have a bit of spare cash to have the Ark Royal cine scanned at 2k
      Do stay tuned...

I like to keep an eye it at least, but it does pretty much look after itself.
A scan can be stopped and started as often as needed without problem so if I had to go out, and can stop and start.
If the film is an unknown then exposure is the most likely thing to keep an eye on.

@capspread I prevent jitter by never using the take up, I let the film drop in to a clean plastic tub.
I disconnected the take up motor from the board so it doesn't even run.
Dropping the film in to a bin is fine, I do with with 400ft with no problem and then use a hand wound movie viewer to gently rewind from the bin. You can see how I do it if you skip to around 4'00 in this video ruclips.net/video/RHmF6V0lFJc/видео.html

Great job, what it the specific model of the lens you mounted on the sensor board?
