Thank you SO MUCH for uploading these Hal Roach shorts. What a revelation! The female equivalent of Laurel and Hardy and such pristine prints. Thelma and Zasu are a scream and a brilliant comedy duo ❤
All of these shorts , with Thelma and Zasu, are great but I liked this one best so far .. just good humor and I got a kick out of the dancing shoes, moose-mount frolicking and the dancing hats..all signified a good time and a catchy beat! :^) A person forgets that, years ago, there were rules on what sort of music/dancing was considered "appropriate" .. my, how times have changed! Thanks for sharing yet another fun time with Thelma and Zasu! :^)
I'm sure that's the gorgeous Anita Garvin (uncredited) as the hostess with the mostest. No-one could do a double-take quite like Thelma Todd. God, she was delicious!
In a movie with Jimmy Duranty and Buster Keaton, Buster plays a college professor who inherited a ton of money and Jimmy brings Thelma into Buster's office to sing a song for him, try to get him to back the show...and Thelma's dress drops off at the...climax. Pretty hot for 1932. Can't remember the name of that movie...
@@TheSpiralnotebook They say suicide but I don't think it was either. Todd was smashed got into her car in a closed garage door with the engine running. Death by carbon monoxide. That's my take.
The music!!! God it's the best!!!
@@stutzbearcat5624 Isn't it? That's a Duke Ellington number called "Jubilee Stomp"
Funny what some people, call good.
@@Phaaschh The original recording was on Victor Records recorded March, 1928.
@@Flopthecat1942 I have a copy of it, issued here on HMVs label.
Absolutely great dancing hats
Love these movies... keep them coming. 🤣🤣🤣
🥰I enjoy watching Thelma and Zasu shorts , always funny .👍Thank you👍

Great classic comedy! Love Zasu Pitts and Thelma Todd!😅
These shorts are such wondrous gems!
Where on earth did Hal Roach get all these comics? And why is this so darn funny? I love these two!

Poor ladies had to dance, with those inept ogre's😆!!!
Really enjoying these brilliant little films. Anyone else noticed how ZaSu mouths the other actors lines when they're speaking? 😂
Gorgeous zasu❤🇮🇪😎💋
Great short, very entertaining! Funny dancing and great dancing too!
I kept trying to hit the thumps up, but it does no good.
A true blast from the past.
These two are better than the "Two Broke Girls"! Love the humour!!!
Super Comedy 😄👍❤️
That Jubilee Stomp is such a hot record! I'm glad they used it here.
Hal Roach Studios, also known as Laugh Factory To The World is such a fitting moniker.
Excellent!

Real funny.
At the end, she could have used mascara to fake Thelma's black eye.
And to think that Thelma would die one year later. Only 29. What a waste of beauty and talent.
The glamorous 1930s
They weren't styled by anything other than itself, unlike today, where everything is just a rewrapped turd
Billy Gilbert est bien présent et il y a aussi Anita Garvin et le grand Eddy Dunne
That's "Eddie Dunn," not "Eddy" as you put it, Frenchie! 😠😠😠😠😠
@dariowiter3078 .Eddy Dunne est dans le court métrage bien compri man
Brooklyn girls, go figure.
'Brooklyn Baby'; 'Lana Del Rey' 👍.
When do Todd’s clothes come off😺
Don't get fresh!
@@quaid667 she is a lovely lady and my apologies to her 😺
@@mickeybitsko1676 I'm messing. She was a doll.

Thelma reminds me of every woman who turns me down
Considering she's one half of the duo, that's 50%. That's pretty bad there, bub🤭.
Murdered?

Lol.
Ha, they use Billy Gilbert's real name [real stage name?] for his character
