I stopped using heavy products in her hair, and use this softee grease, which is actually available at the dollar store, I could not believe it. Her locs a year later are healthy and growing well. She has had problems her whole life growing her hair and finally its growinf and she loves her hair, I just wanted to thank you. This is the best loc video out there.

    Easy, quick, precise, very informative, and str8 to the point. I'm loving your locs, Narada. I'm a loose natural, and I don't use rinse out conditioner neither. I just use 2 leave ins. Both have mineral oil in their formulas. They werk to keep my hair from drying out so fast and they have castor/coconut oil, as well. I use sulfate poos too. I tried shampoo bars, Co wash conditioner, and sulfate free poos...they all made me feel like my hair was not fully clean after a wash. I just like for my strands to feel light and free of build up, after being cleansed. I guess it depends on your hair type. Ps: I towel dry my hair too.😂😂😂😃😃😃Keep up the amazing content, we're glad u came back!

    Great video. All I do is wash with shampoo twice a week, use avocado oil with a few drops of peppermint oil to retwist once a month, and call it a day, That's it. Throughout the week I spray rose water on them for hydration, and reapply oil once a week. It's working great for me, my hair loves the routine.

      I use 2 mirrors. I have a full wall mirror behind my camera that I use with my swivel mirror on my bathroom door. It's tricky and hard to use at first but if you have a good set up of mirrors with good angles and lighting it really makes it easy. That's what I used to used when I would braid and part my loose natural hair.

  • @brownstar45
    @brownstar45 5 лет назад +1

    Wow. Is there something you can't do? You are so talented. I've learned so much from this video.
    I've been retwisting my hair for a couple of months and I have never used a comb. I try to get through it so fast. On my next retwist, I will use my comb as my partings are not so visible.
    I recently stopped using a gel to retwist and replaced it with castor oil. I agree with not putting things in my hair that won't cause build up and flaking, so far I like it.
    Please show how you did tagger style. I can't style my hair. I got to the hair dresser to style it.

    Omg, my hair has been so dry since starting locs. I used grease as a loose natural and stopped using it when I loc’ed bc everyone keeps saying that it’s going to cause build up and they are going to get gummy and heavy and it will mess up my locs. Because of that I have been using all of these oils (avacado, argon, olive oil) and my hair is still dry even when I spray it with distilled water first before I apply oil I mean Drrrrrrry. I drink tons of water and eat well and take vitamins. I went and bought some grease today. I’m going to retwist with it tonight. Thanks for the tutorial🙌🏽🙌🏽

      You can keep it in 2 weeks at the most but that's really what causes people's locs to thin when they keep them constricted and confined for too long. As far as your hair goes, don't try to get a perfect retwist like you see me doing here. I've been doing my hair myself for over 10 years now so I've perfected it. Go at your own pace and just try your best to get them as neat and clean as you can! Thanks for watching!

      It will be a hard take down because of the shed hair. Take down its always hard so depended on your take down process. Find some good oils that make it loosen up the sebum that had the hair stuck. For me aloe vera oil I make in the skillet wit olive oil and coconut oil detangles and loosens conditions my twist good enough for a tearfree take down.

    I never really thought about using hair Grease and a comb in the new growth. As I watched you I wondered if you would ditch the parting process. I think I've lost my original parting mine long ago lol

    Indian hemp IS.THE.TRUTH! I don't use it everyday in my hair rotation, but I really discovered it when I was getting braids (box and goddess) and people would use gel to slick my hair which was fine until the gel locked my hair at the roots and would be a beast to get out. However, after greasing my scalp with the indian hemp, I noticed the gel never solidified like that which was better for me. Don't know if other grease would do the same. I just used what I had.

    Hey Afrikan Hair God, I love ❤️ your process of twisting your hair. My brother has locs and my daughter knows how to do them. I love tressemme shampoo and conditioner as well. It’s my favorite. Your minimal process of washing your hair, have me wanting to ask you a lot of questions. Like, what benefits do conditioner have? Is sulfate shampoos the devil? And does grease really clog your pores? In depth discussion please!
