Vehicle inspection they check for: Any leaking fluids, suspension, horn, window switches usually, driver seat (make sure it moves back and forth), lights, brakes (including e-brake), any large chips/cracks in windshields, any rust holes (automatic fail), tread depth of usually 2/32nds or greater. I live in Canada, NS and that's the general gist. Have to get it done every 2 years. I know I'm late but I hope this helps.
For one why nc, we get away with almost everything in nc but we need working headlight, taillight, turning power steering, reverse lights, seat belts, hazard lights, mirrors, bumpers i think thats about it aside from your tent as long as cops can see through your side window and windshield you should be fine. I live in jacksonville I passed and my first car was nowhere near as well kept as yours
Hello, most Crown Vics have the problem with the horn when they are taken out of service.Actually,it is not a problem. The horn is just disconnected. Why?Because it is connected to the center console (siren)when in service. That means in plain language, with the horn the siren is activated.I also had it on my 07 Crown. You have to look for a blue cable. That's the one for the horn.I found mine on the passenger side by the lower cigarette lighter. You have to take the vinyl aside for it.There was another red cable on it that ran to the center console.Long text,I hope you understood it.
S*** man if you can afford three vehicles like that that horn is a not expensive fix just go to a place that works on car audio or electrical place and they shouldn't charge you more than a hundred twenty bucks to fix that
Well, NC is better than Zoo Jersey. I would move here to Kentucky. 6% sales tax, no permit for any firearm, open or concealed, no food tax and no vehicle testing at all!

Have you tried removing the airbag in the crown vic and seeing if you can plug the horn back in?
Dude I see you everywhere LOL
3rd brake light on the super duty won’t be a problem only two brake lights are required
Texas recently passed a law requiring a third brake light to pass safety inspection.
@@jonopwns shoot, now I’ll have to go fix my Interceptor’s 3rd brake light. It was somehow disabled for the flashing light bar used by the PD
I don’t live in North Carolina though but texas seems to have the same vehicle inspection laws
Why north carolina? its a culture shock!!! I live in south carolina and i'm originally from NYC and can't wait to go back up north.
The mirror and emergency/parking are part of the safety inspection . The suspension will either pass or fail depending on the inspectors knowledge LOL
