It comes down to this one spiritual meditation brother...Is Blanch's shopping centre topped by a Pyramid fitting of Giza? Ponder upon that in peace and love, Namaste.
No, our "hyper competitive consumer society" AKA just life and natural human psychology, which is therefore a necessity, leads you to think that. It isn't wrong to want the best for your money, or the most for your barter.
Love this channel. I live in Spain but when I want a hit of Irish nostalgia I hit this channel up. While entertainingly witty it is a surprisingly and philosophically thoughtful view on aspects of Irish life and places. Keep up the great work says this subscriber!

Not even a mention of a hundred bags of crisps for a euro in Breathnachs Bargains, also famous for the sign on the way in: "Shoplifters: We don't ring the Garda, Anto will deal with you". The only one who was ever man enough to stand up to Anto was Anto's wife, who caught him cheating and left but also told the Guards about his secret storeroom full of knockoff sports gear just as an extra "fuck you" to him.

You are an anomaly at the moment for me. I'm mad for a lot of Irish twitter sketch lads and then someone shared one of your videos in a WhatsApp group, this 'you' are a hidden gem and idk why. Thanks, from a Blanch man
Hang on a minute, Mortons was in the Knocklyon video too. Is it in Knocklyon or Firhouse? Is Knocklyon in Firhouse which means it's in Tallaght? We need another video to explain this
you got ti do a Sligo town video mate, if not done already one yet. I cannot find one at least. great content though. I've just watched 20 videos of yours in a row///
I used to live right next to The Square shopping centre. Really rough place, I got 3 of my vertebrae broken by teenagers with rocks in a housing estate in the middle òf the night. Its probably the last place on earth I'd visit again.
I had rocks hurled at me from across a main road (traffic lights ) they threw rocks towards me fortunately they ended up hitting gates, they were all unaccompanied crack baby feral youth , and I was raised in Tallaght, it is rough and I myself intend to not remain in it long term.
@@JB-gq1od I went to school in Peckham, South London and grew up in and lived in the roughest areas of London, Catford, Walworth, Norwood Junction, Bermondsey and now live in Tottenham. Lol as an American who went to Ireland before, McDonald’s is waaay more insane at night there than it is in the US😂 lol there were like 3 dudes about to fight each other and one guy just screaming for his order. Lmao at least in the states the crazy ones get served quickly to get them out of the restaurant
The Square (or Sq. as they've rebranded it, i.e. "skew-dot") is almost a postmodernist architectural masterpiece. It subverts expectations by calling itself a square when it's most obvious signifier is a massive fucking pyramid, and the dingy lighting and pokey shops covertly undermined the wannabe hypercapitalism of late 80s Ireland. The flashy neon allure of the VirtuaRacer arcade game beside the UCI cinemas was a cruel tease for patrons, as the reality of The Square was closer to that Michael Guiney's ripoff on the ground floor yer ma used to drag you around that smelled like leather and plastic.

Our hyper competitive consumer society leads me to wonder though, which is better, Blanch or Tallaght? This deserves its own video.

They are both seedy beasts.
There both kips. But less traffic in tallaght.
Imagine Blallaght.

Blanchman, the superhero no one thought we needed how wrong they were.
I love his deadpan delivery!
Finally watched enough Irish content to get Irish RUclips adverts, I have ascended.
'The Connemara of Tallaght' sounds like a Martin McDonagh play. Namaste.
This is brilliant. You need to do the Walkinstown Roundabout.
.... And these days the Walkinstown Roundabout smells like one big Wow burger
John's chipper in the 90s was deadly.
😂
In his seminal documentary series, Frankie lays bare to us the rich cultural tapestry of Dublin and its environs.

I'd love you to do a narrative on the now-screwed up Citywest shopping centre and the concrete jungles surrounding it.
Excellent thanks. More Tallaght tourism information please.
Fun fact
Tallaght comes from the Irish Tamhlacht which means Place of the Plague burial site 💀
Tahnk you for this informative highly educational standard and realistic video.

People from firhouse and knocklyn just like to pretend theyre not from tallaght
Everything is Tallaght
Yeah bud on a map firhouse is called tymon south but they claim to be part of knocklyon 😅
Firhouse tallaght
Anything west of the M50 that side is Tallaght. It's the great divide
Painfully accurate. It would soothe my soul to see a video about Ballyfermot.

2:19 Funny thing is that McDonalds is actually right beside Tallaght Garda station yet people still get into wars in that drive thru haha
Firehouse say there not in Tallaght because there afraid there house value will come down.
They obviously cut corners building The Square if they ended up with a pyramid 😅
No mention of the Tallaght Band. They were big in the very early 2000s following the "national tragedy" of 9/11 in the US.
