I was received into the Catholic Church in 2006 officially, and by golly I'll stick therewith! My memories of RCIA and Reception are indelible. I thank God He's led me back thereunto!
I was like a church hopper for many years, and finally, Jesus told me to attend the Church He established and He led me to the Catholic Church. After several years of classes, I joined, and after 57 years, I can still say I have never felt more fulfilled or happier.
@@kelman727 That's easy. Jesus not only identifies love as the answer to the world's problems, but defines what love is and shows us what love looks like. Love, based on Biblical principles or first principle, not only seeks to reconcile mankind to God but also mankind to itself through personal relationships in which we build up rather than tear down. God wants humans to be in relationship with each other in which we don't take advantage of one another. In other words, be our brothers keeper. Love rather than envy. To forgive rather than revenge. To serve rather than be served. Humility rather than pride. To lay down our lives for others rather than fight to preserve ourselves while others die. Human rights are a responsibility rather than an entitlement. To be a follower of Christ in the modern age is to truly be a "rebel" .
@@stephenmerritt5750 'Human rights are a responsibility rather than an entitlement.' No. The Second Commandment says otherwise. It is the responsibilty of these who have enough and more of this world's good things, to strive to ensure that the poor and marginalised have a fair share of God's bounty, whch he intended for all his children, as St Ambrose insisted. And don't quote to me; 'The poor you have always with you' ; That was clearly intended by Christ to apply to a specific situation at a specific time. The Bible almost routinely identifies the rich with the oppressor, the robber, the fraudulent, the violent, the dishonest, etc ; and the Bible conversely regularly identifies the poor with the virtuous, the true Israel. An outstanding example, of course, is Our Lady's Magnificat. Of course there are many exceptions, such as Joseph of Arimathea, but evidently a minority of a relative minority. The Psalms and the books of the Prophets are particularly notable in this context.

I read GK Chesterton's stories, and he is a supreme satirist. He is certainly a breath of fresh air among the world's thinkers, many of whom are quite stale, and even foul, as the rotting corpse of their philosophy will always dispel. Until we have a tremendous appreciation for the truth, and can reason it succinctly, distinctly, and reliably, our silence more dispels our wisdom than ever our speaking. Seek the truth, for to know the truth is freedom.

@cecilyt006By introducing "virtue signaling" to the comments you have triggered my mind to say this: Many who imbibe deeply of Catholicism rather than the truth of the gospel of Christ, like to "virtue signal" by mentioning "saints of the Church" e.g., Mary(mother of Jesus) Chesterton, Popes, Fulton Sheen, etc. etc. while true Bible believers only extol the Lord Jesus Christ Who saved them.

Truth what's important :- 2 Timothy 3 : 16 - 17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. That is what Martin Luther rightly did, he just went back to the Truth of the Scriptures. Many Sects have their own doctored Bible i.e. the Catholic Bible, the Jehovah Witness Bible, the teachings from the Book of Mormon etc., all of these have had teaching added to or taken away from, the truth of scripture of The Holy Bible, for their own 'dubious purposes.'
The term Christian and Catholic was first used by St. Ignatius of Antioch in the early second century, the first term refers to the followers of Jesus (has nothing to do with religion), while the second term was the name given by Apostles to the Apostolic Union according to their universal faith in Jesus Christ, in (Hebrews 12-23) it can be observed that the author writes exactly that, he calls the Church (Universal Assembly) for those who do not know the meanings of the words, *Universal Assembly* is the same as *Catholic Church.* Hebrews 12 *23* _"KATHOLIKA kai ekkêsia prôtotokôn apogegrammenôn en ouranois kai kritê theô pantôn kai pneumasi dikaiôn teteleiômenôn;"_ *23* _"To the general (syno.: universal) assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect;"_ Assembly = *Church* Universal or General = *Catholic* "Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." Thank God for confession. This is a great gift that the Catholic Church alone..by our history..can provide in the 21st century! It's a source of spiritual and psychological freedom and peace! This is something Jesus MUST have thought of !!!!
Imagine trying to find the "Catholic Church" of which G. K. Chesterton spoke, today. 99.9x% of those churches that even say "Catholic" do not fit the description he gave. To find that 0.0x% one should look for such descriptions as "traditional," "traditionalist," "Latin Mass." What one finds in such few churches today is alone what one would have found in virtually every church in Chesterton's day as would have been called Catholic.
I have always loved Chesterton since being introduced to him by my father at the age of thirteen, over the two years following I read through his complete works cover to cover. I have always thought that his single greatest flaw was that he was a Catholic, but if you break down his defense of Catholicism you will find that his defenses apply to a larger group than the Catholic Church alone. In fact I think most of the examples he gives would apply to any true, honest, and obedient Christian Church in all of history. Beyond this even, his defense of Catholicism is based on the ideal Catholic Church, not the real Catholic Church that we have seen Perverted and tyrannized so many times throughout history by its own leaders.
@Khrotso Koza The "Real universal (catholic) church cannot be found physically because it is a spiritual organism called in scripture The Body of Christ. Look up the "church the Body of Christ" in the Bible. You will only find it in the epistles of Paul since the Lord revealed it to Paul after His resurrection. The 12 apostles and other disciples of Jesus before that, knew nothing of how to become a member of the Body of Christ church.
Judas was not a reason to abandon the other eleven and the Church. Jesus promised that “the forces of the netherworld will not prevail against it.” satan has been trying since then to lead people away from the Church by infiltrating it. Don’t fall for it. Choose the Eucharist Instead.
@Khrotso Koza Did Jesus not say his kingdome is not of this world? Or to live you must die, and to die you live? I think this thread is more about the scriptural Universesal Church which by definition is has the same meaning of the Catholic Church, but different than the ROMAN Catholic Church. Focus on what Jesus told the woman by the well, when she asked him where should she worship in the Semaritan temple or in a Jerusalem with the Jews? Jesus replied that what God seeks is worshippers in spirit and truth. So the physical location or a type of leader is not as important, you seeking/worshipping in truth and worshipping in spirit is the most important.
Yes I agree, its Ahlquest that muddles the water of Chestertons words when he brings up examples of protestant and Catholic. But the main difference to make is that of the biblical universal church which is the same as the Catholic church.... but not the same as the ROMAN Catholic church. I would be intrested in hearing Chestertons exact words about the ROMAN Catholic church and the Catholic Church.
HMR.Videos, the Roman Catholic Church Is the one that can trace its leadership directly to Peter to whom Jesus gave the keys to His kingdom until His return. This is the Church of Chesterton and the one that has the Eucharist - the actual body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. Protestants do not have this. Jesus said that “the forces of the netherworld will not prevail against it” meaning satan may infiltrate it and attack it for thousands of hears but it will always hold the fullness of the faith in its official teachings. Chesterton seems to speak with some measure of certainty of the Catholic Church and, in fact, appeals to its steadfastness and truth as the prime measure of its authority. Why does it feel that Chesterton was NOT speaking of the 2021 synodal catholic church that has been told by its current pontificate to "expect surprises from the God of surprises", and to not hold on to certainties, and that we don't need a new church, we just need to change the current one. I believe that only through discourse and doubt can my faith be strengthened. Thus, I believe it is necessary to ask this: How can the Catholic Church of 2000 years be right when it deceives its people, a diverse and universal people, by covering up child molestation, supporting those in the past who have used the Church for their factions' endeavors of greed and glory, and have even held, and still hold, land and secrets when there is supposedly no class and distinction between the Church and the people? Chesterton's writings were in unity with the pre-Second Vatican Council teaching. Chesterton's writings have not changed, but the "new teachings" and the encyclicals of every Pope, since 1959, are in direct opposition to Chesterton's writings. When was the last time (or the first time for that matter) that a Pope spoke about no salvation outside of the church, Jesus Christ is God's word incarnate, heaven and hell does exist and both are eternal, original and actual sin, what are the seven sacraments and why the Church gives them to us, etc. The last six Popes have concentrated and promulgated on secular humanism.
I have a question. How can someone who is so in love with Chesterton be a defender of the heretical Francis? Interesting to see how when the devil hits the stage he brings out his full cast
Francis may have said heterodox stuff, but he's not a heretic. It's easy to feel like we're living in the worst crisis of the churhc, but we've actually had way worse popes and darker periods. Sure, we aren't in the brighest moment of the church, but blame it all on the pope is wrong. After all he continues to oppose abortion, religious same sex marriage, female priests and so on. Tha fact that only 8 popes have been canonized in the last 1000 or so years shows that we've had pretty average men on the chair, but it's still the chair of St Peter and Chesterton, if alive, despite the critics he would probably make against the current papacy, would still recognize its authority.

The Bible says NOBODY was sinless except for Jesus and at the last supper Jesus instructed his disciples to remember only him, not Mary, not John the Baptist, not Abraham, only himself.

It wasn't the Orthodox Church that stood up to the Soviet Union. It was Pope John Paul II. The Catholic Church learned this lesson the hard way and separated from worldly powers some thousand years ago, after Philip IV of France forced Pope Clements hand to disband the Templar Knights and burn them at stakes.
I was born of the Spirit at 32 years of age and it wasn’t a church nor “the” church that saved me, it was Jesus. The error I see many make is to attribute too much to the Church organization (and this isn’t only true of the Catholic organization, it is also true of many Protestant groups). What I mean by this is the fact that Jesus is the Truth as well as the dispenser of the Truth by His Holy Spirit, our Helper, our conscience, individuality not corporately. We individually make up what is The Church, not an organized body meeting in a building made with hands. It is a spiritual body that isn’t bound by physical boundaries. Mary worship, praying to Mary and other dead saints, veneration of popes and other people, and pomp and ceremony all have nothing to do with a true relationship with Jesus.
The essential issue is justification. Rome teaches that man has to cooperate with God in his own justification. The Bible teaches that God is just and the justifier of the one who has faith in the annointed (Christ) Jesus. Rome is wrong. The babbling on this video hides the deep error of Rome.
@@kenzeier2943 Exactly! Rome disqualifies itself immediately by siding with the likes of the "Judaizers" Paul rebukes in Galatians. Adding anything, anything, anything to the gospel Paul preached makes it invalid for salvation. See 1 Cor. 15:1-4, Rom. 5:1, Eph. 1:13, 2:8-10--- for starters.
When we decide for ourselves what is true and just there is no truth and justice. Something is true or not . It is not relative to what each of us decide is true. We need the church to convey the truth taught by Jesus and the apostles. Only one Church dates back to Jesus The Catholic Church. We don't worship anyone but the three persons in the Blessed Trinity.
You guys better read Exodus. God's instructions on how He is to be worshipped. And regarding asking for Mary's intercession, have you ever asked a friend to pray for you, or offered a prayer for someone? That's what Catholics do when they pray (communicate) to Mary. You shouldn't be very condescending, because if you answered Yes to the question, then are your prayers, or you, worth more than Mary's, the mother of Jesus, who responded to God's will without question, who accompanied her Son all the way to Golgotha and watched Him die for our salvation? Btw, we Catholics do not worship Mary as you all claim that's what we do. We honor her for she is favored by God. It is in the Bible in the Gospel of Luke, so you can check it out. Please do not speak of things you have no understanding of, or of misconceptions of the teachings of the Church. You may want to read the Cathechism, unless you want to remain hateful.
Karen Nanni LoL, you are the one that needs to do better research. Where in the Bible do you see anyone kissing the feet of statues while crying and praying to it? Give me a break.
So much of what is presented here seems to me to have been turfed by The Church. Modernism is creeping into the sermons I here at (virtually) any N.O. Mass. I've sadly shared similar experiences, I attended a local parish on Sunday for the first time and was shocked at the use of a band of electric guitars and drums and a rainbow flag sticker plastered on the gates. Priests I feel are generally hesitant to fully speak on the actual truth of Christ and make mass into a feel good show. May Lord have mercy.
I am rather baffled that such a great thinker seems to have such blindspots when it comes to the institution of the catholic church. If in this video he was using "true Christianity" instead of "Catholic church" I would more or less entirely agree, but as it stands I find most of his claims either hard to defense, indefensible or plain wrong.
The apostolic Catholic church is the only church that can be traced back to Christ through the papacy ,256 popes all the way back to PETER.We have had terrific popes and terrible popes. The office is greater than the individual.Christ had no sooner said to PETER you are the rock on which I build my church when he said, get behind me Satan, when PETER objected to Christ foretelling the passion that he must indure. The church was born in crisis and will be in crisis till Christ returns. The gate's of hell will not prevail. The majority of Catholics will abandon the Catholic church and truth of its doctrine of the Faith just like at the foot of the cross only one of apostles stood, the rest jumped from the boat because of the storm.

As a moderate protestant I support GK Chesterton's run for sainthood 2020. Anyone who doubts him performing a miracle must not have read Man Who Was Thursday. The book had a huge car chase scene 6 months before Model T Ford was launched! I do think that he underestimated his own girth a bit in "Why I am catholic": By writing about Catholic church being "the only thing", instead of say, "the best in", in his rush to preach to the regulars, his big butt slammed the church door shut before casuals got in to hear his sermon.
Drew Bakka Are you saying you disagree with Chesterton? I'm Catholic but don't try to say I'm a theologian. I did have a lot of theology but forgot a other of what I learned. Sorry if I offended you.
Literally none of these reason to be a Catholic are exclusive to Catholics. There just truth about the church and about the gospel, but most christian denominations believe this too. A protestant can say the same exact truths claiming that they're exclusive to the protestant church too. (Except without the religious pride that the "intellectual church" has)
I dont disagree, but I would like to hear those reasons. I clicked on the video to find out why GKC was specifically CATHOLIC, not why he was CHRISTIAN. At least in this video, he doesn't give reasons to be Catholic, but a Christian in general. Im just saying that Catholics can claim none of the truths said in this video as exclusive
Christian denominations have no beliefs. If you think they do, send me their Creed. Send me their Catechisms. A Protestant is as likely to "go" Methodist as Lutheran, as Assembly of God, week in week out. They're always changing their beliefs. Because they have no beliefs. So stop impersonating Christianity - it's Catholic or nothing.

@Scottfrye0001112222 Thank you for visiting our channel and leaving a comment; we truly appreciate it. Could you please clarify your statement? Specifically, what do you mean by referring to the Roman Church as "Romanism"? What issues do you see with the Pope, the Church, and its authority being based in Rome? Additionally, what are the points you believe need to be added? If you are genuinely interested in saving souls, as Christ said, "A new commandment I give you: Love one another as I have loved you," and since God desires our salvation, I must assume you, as a disciple of Christ, wish to save my soul. However, your comment seems too brief and lacking in explanation for such a profound topic. Are you suggesting that criticizing the Church as "Romanist" makes your view more credible and interested in our salvation? Perhaps you could start by addressing one of the arguments presented by G.K. Chesterton in this video. I hope you're having a blessed day. Remember, if you aim to challenge what you perceive as falsehood, you must be more thorough, considering the salvation of souls and adherence to Christ's commandments: to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Wishing you a blessed day.
The claim that the Roman church is the only church that can claim to be THE church is historical nonsense. It was one region of the church with a bishop overseeing its affairs, just as there were other regions of the world with bishops overseeing their affairs. One holy, catholic, and apostolic church. Then, for reasons, I'm sure, the bishop of Rome decided that he should be the Bishop over all bishops. Problem was the other bishops, who had enjoyed co-equality with one another, including the bishop of Rome, for over a thousand years didn't want to give that up. Even less so now their knees to Rome! You can't argue with history. Rome ISN'T the only church.

Five justices on the Supreme Court are Catholic and although they may not have used their training in natural law to give the right to life to the unborn, their integrity and fidelity to the Constitution did lead them to overturn Roe v. Wade and sent the question back to the States. So hat tip to them! I am convinced that Big is the New Bad. Big Pharma Big Tech Big Media, etc. But one of the worst of the Bigs is Big Religion.
In about 300 words I offer the following commentary--- The difference between the Catholic and the Protestant, [I speak here only of a Biblically taught Reformation Protestant], was expressed recently by Pope Francis. The Pontiff said, “The Church” [the Roman Catholic Church] “is above the Bible.” By placing the Church above the Bible the RC Church is free to introduce into its corpus of doctrine ideas utterly foreign to Christianity. Ideas that would horrify the apostles; ideas that in the end will prevent one from exercising what a Reformation Protestant would call “saving faith”; or that kind of faith which says that a sinner must rely solely on the cross of Christ for salvation. Note: You cannot exercise saving faith while you look to yourself or your own good works in order to be saved. Faith must be pure and not mixed with alloys or it is not true faith. It is something else; something God will not accept. Alas, in respect of this all-important subject of salvation and the sufficiency of the cross to on its own save sinners, the Catholic Church stands in the way of sinners for the apparent reason that it will not adjust its thinking to include Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, 4:1-16, 5:1, Galatians 3:11, Ephesians 2:8-9, Philippians 3:8-9, Titus 3:5-6, Hebrews 10:38, Etc.; which teach that salvation is had only by the doing and dying of Jesus. “I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the Law then Christ is dead in vain.” [Galatians 2:21] LET THE BIBLE HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE SOUL AND SALVATION. THE BIBLE IS ABOVE THE CHURCH. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
There is a biblical passage that doesn't come to mind in it's exact form but that goes something like "God takes a bad view of calumny against his priests."
Catholic cringe truth-twisting: "by the foreseen merits of her son Mary was born without original sin", answered somebody on my feed, but I cannot find the comment. How can God in the form of the Son acrue merit????? And how can the Messiah´s merit be given to his mom or any family member just because? Mary, like everyone else, had to accept God´s "merit" (full forgiveness) by accepting the sacrifice of the cross. Even Mary was dead in her sins. Ignore scripture at your own peril.
I have to disagree on first principles I don't believe people desire happiness first they desire attention, they desire dopamine and serotonin, validation. I would want to think it's as easy to rely on first principles to open the minds of people to their destructive behaviors, and argue that the church is in their best interest but they argue against the church having anyone's best interest in mind
I wished the Catholic Church would have taken a stronger stance against the Nazi's in WWII and tried to alarm all Catholics around the world to fight Nazism. I wonder what Chesterton would have said about the churches actions back then.
Chesterton died in 1936. He was aware of Hitler and spoke in opposition to him. He did not live to see the storm clouds of war forming on the horizon. Even if he had seen them coming, my guess is he would have been more disconcerted by the changes incurred by Vatican II than the worldly threat of Nazism. I suspect he would have said that political regimes come and go but if a man does not have the sanctuary of the church, then he has lost all. So it is that he (like Evelyn Waugh and thousands of others who converted later in life) would have lamented Vatican II's shedding of so much of Rome's historical structure--particularly the virtual abolition of the Latin Mass. I am not a Roman Catholic but, for me, this destructive change would be a powerful reason not to enter into communion with Rome. Were I inclined to convert, I believe Chesterton's church would have been more congenial.
I forgot who was the pope around WWII (Pope Pius?) But he did indirectly spoke out against Nazi. He wrote a letter that was spoken throughout German churches, indirectly talking about Nazi's suppression and discrimination against Jews, in the guise of every life on Earth is equal and precious, and that they have a right to live. When priests spoke it during their homilies, many of them were imprisoned by the Nazi government for talking against them. Catholic priests were also imprisoned by Nazis for helping Jews escaped. I think the reason the pope didn't fully mention Nazi in his letters and said it in a more worldly universal tone is because many Catholics in Nazi Germany would also be at stake, and he took the best course of action to save everyone, including the Church's own people.

@@stephenmerritt5750 'Human rights are a responsibility rather than an entitlement.'
No.

"Christ came upon earth, not only for those who lived at that time in Palestine, but for men of all times. When He deprived men of His sensible presence, He gave them the Church with her doctrine, jurisdiction, Sacraments and worship, to be as another Christ; it is in the Church that we can find Him. 2 Timothy 3 : 16 - 17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Ignatius of Antioch in the early second century, the first term refers to the followers of Jesus (has nothing to do with religion), while the second term was the name given by Apostles to the Apostolic Union according to their universal faith in Jesus Christ, in (Hebrews 12-23) it can be observed that the author writes exactly that, he calls the Church (Universal Assembly) for those who do not know the meanings of the words, *Universal Assembly* is the same as *Catholic Church.*
Hebrews 12
*23* _"KATHOLIKA kai ekkêsia prôtotokôn apogegrammenôn en ouranois kai kritê theô pantôn kai pneumasi dikaiôn teteleiômenôn;"_
*23* _"To the general (syno.: universal) assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect;"_
Assembly = *Church*
Universal or General = *Catholic*
"Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Smyrneans, 8:2 (c. A.D. 110)".
I would have care how you use universal. For universal could confuse someone from the universalists heretics.
Thank God for confession. This is a great gift that the Catholic Church alone..by our history..can provide in the 21st century! It's a source of spiritual and psychological freedom and peace! This is something Jesus MUST have thought of !!!!
Absolutely. Use it regularly and I will set your on the right path.
The Catholic church will know it is right when it suffers for what is right.
Francis is heretical and many good Catholics, including some cardinals, are calling him out for trying to destroy the Church. But no good Catholic would every leave it. “To whom shall we go, Lord, You have the words of eternal life.”

He established the sacraments
sacraments are a Catholic term and you do not attain salvation by the sacraments . Salvation is by grace and it is a gift not something you work for , so doing the sacraments sounds pious but in reality it will not give you salvation .

A troubling doctrine ( confession to a priest ) that has no foundation in scripture by word or by practice of the early church until the 1100's where it is brought into the Catholic church. as a doctrine / sacrament.
Ordination Jesus was the annointed One and passed that on to the apostles.
And when the apostles passed on from this life there is no record in scripture that says that there was any succession of the apostles . The believers were the ones who spread the gospel.
Etc Peter was Simon before he was called Peter rock
Yes Peter had a name change and the Catholic church gave him an upgrade in status even though there are many verses that describe Peter as being less than the rock Jesus named him. Jesus is the Rock of our salvation and He built His church on himself and Peter and the apostles are part of the foundation .
I have looked at Catholic church history and it is dismal ,just as dismal as the protestant denominations ,all saying they are the true church.
Jesus called His church "MY CHURCH" He did not call it anything else and there were no names of churches recorded by any of the writers of the new testament.
The Church that Jesus founded is the true church and everything that the true church should believe is found in the scriptures. 2 Tim 3:15-17
Any new beliefs that are taught as truth and not found by example in the scriptures are not truth but fabrication by man for his own reasons.

@@oimss2021 Dude, the pope presided over a literal pagan ritual in the Vatican gardens during the Amazon Synod. The popes you are referring to erred on precision of doctrine or personal morals. They never, not a one, had pagan worship in the Vatican. Watch the video of the Amazon Synod at Vatican Gardens. They all bowed down in front of wooden Pachamama idols...that pope Francis BLESSED! no sorry no other pope has ever been this bad.
@@dnznznfjsnsnsms9996 TRUE the last GOOD Pope I think is Pope John Paul II. The Catholic Church still STANDS since it's foundation in the 1st century AD.

I’d like to hear Chesterton’s explanation how the Catholic deification of the Virgin Mary is “true” doctrine according to the Bible. Mary was not exalted in any teaching of Jesus or the apostles. The Bible says NOBODY was sinless except for Jesus and at the last supper Jesus instructed his disciples to remember only him, not Mary, not John the Baptist, not Abraham, only himself.
How are you on exegesis? You probably never heard of it.
You are good.
Tell pope Francis that. He doesn't seem to understand but he can't change church teaching. I wonder if Chesterton would come into the church if he were alive today and not catholic yet.
That is not new, see anti pope & evil pope.
You need to go to confession after writing that. I'm not joking.
JUST ABSOLUTELY AMAZING THE REAL THRUD IS OUR CATOLIC CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!IN DEED AMEN ALLELUIA PRAISE THE GOOD LORD FOR WATH HE REALLY IS ON OUR CATHOLIC FAITH.AMEN GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS TO SPEAK THE TRUTH TO THE ALL WORLD! AMEN♥🙏
I pledge allegiance to the pope!
Against ALL challenges!
All of this is true, except even moreso for the orthodox Church.
Although I have great respect for the Orthodox Church. It is not universal.
You could basically supplement Christian church for Catholic Church ….it would change anything !
Wonder what he would think if he could see the state of the Church today?🤔
I think he would think just the same.
Nothing that had or would happen in the Church could ever invalidate the true Church.
Ave Christus Rex
Ave Maria
yes.
Don't some of these apply to protestants and othadox too?
Hi @christophersnedeker. Answer: No. Christ has only one Bride, one Church.
The question is, why are we Romans?
When everybody goes against fashion doesn’t that become the fashion
Fabulous thank you. Please check out his beautiful poem The Donkey recited on my channel. Gb
So much of what is presented here seems to me to have been turfed by The Church. Modernism is creeping into the sermons I here at (virtually) any N.O. Mass. The parish priest down the road tends to preach more psychology than theology.
When I converted to The Church it was at a Traditional Latin Mass. I'm afraid that many who grew up in the post-councilliar church might object to much of this video. :(

They are Freemasons and communists.
Brendan Ryan The Rock to which Jesus was referring when He said “Upon this Rock...” was He Himself ( the Great Rock),not Peter ( who was Cephas, a stone, a little rock).
@@gregsolovieff6711 Nope! Matthew was written first in Aramaic and not Greek. The Aramaic word for "Rock" is 'Kepha' which refers to 'Peter' not Jesus.

Wonderful explanation of sin.
Lol how do I know you are an American protestant? Read some theology bro
(Except without the religious pride that the "intellectual church" has)
Jeremias Ferreyra Except that there has to be more for GKC to have made the leap to being a Catholic.
The Catholic Church has the full truth, but yes other churchs have truths but they disagree sometimes on the truth.
utter hogwash sir, you delude yourself which is why you troll Catholic content, I've called you out before. Catholicism is based upon liturgy, protestant DIVORCED the sacraments of Confession, Marriage and the Eucharist (as novus ordo Catholics have) protestants know nothing of truth, because their faith is built on no rock.
Romanism isn't biblical if you ADD a whole series of other things to get eternal life
@Scottfrye0001112222 Thank you for visiting our channel and leaving a comment; we truly appreciate it.
Chesterton doesn't agree...and neither do I.

But Peter Kreeft did. After being raised a staunch Calvinist.

In about 300 words I offer the following commentary---
The difference between the Catholic and the Protestant, [I speak here only of a Biblically taught Reformation Protestant], was expressed recently by Pope Francis.
“I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the Law then Christ is dead in vain.” [Galatians 2:21]
LET THE BIBLE HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE SOUL AND SALVATION.
THE BIBLE IS ABOVE THE CHURCH.
2 Timothy 3:16-17,
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Put an end to death and revealed the Resurrection.
Wow!
I THINK SO.. RIGHT GLENN?
GKC live at a time when there was a pope on the seat of Peter. Lucky man.
Why are you here?
Tell us the real truth. Start by naming your denomination and the idea that God can do anything.
I have to disagree on first principles I don't believe people desire happiness first they desire attention, they desire dopamine and serotonin, validation. I would want to think it's as easy to rely on first principles to open the minds of people to their destructive behaviors, and argue that the church is in their best interest but they argue against the church having anyone's best interest in mind
... And why do they desire attention, dopamine, serotonin, validation, Christi?
Attention is their imaginary means to happiness - come on - this isn't tough.
Happiness only comes from loving God and doing his will.
Like what? Joined in an attack on which side?
