  • my chargers are here! - geni.us/tfreshc...
    With the latest generation iPhone, Apple finally gave us wireless charging, perhaps one of the most convenient and underrated features ever for a phone. So I set out to find the best wireless charger I could find for my new iPhone 8, and this is my review.
    Links for all:

    If you aren't using this awesome feature on your 8, 8+, or X, then you are really missing out! Not having to plug your phone in multiple times a day, no matter how trivial soundings, is quite a killer convenience.
    While looking for the best one, I came across a bunch of different chargers in my research and so decided to try them all out and give you all the various pros and cons I came across while using all these different shapes, styles and sizes.
    Hope you enjoy!

    I’m a picky person when it comes to spending my money on tech and I can relate to many things you‘ve said. Thank you for the information

    thanks for putting your efforts! i liked the dock one..i have an iphone 8plus..and really considering the bar shaped LED stand..i dont know why you said nothing much about charging speed of these chargers..also,how wise would be to wait for apple's own Airpower (which is rumoured to ship in march)

    Any chance you’ve revisited the wireless charges and 2020. How about distance from the phone. I’d like to mount a charger under my counter

    Wireless charging is perfect when the cellphone is docked in the Air vent. It’s grab and go kind of thing and you don’t have to unplug it every time you leave the car. I have the anti gravity wireless charger by BaseUs. Really convenient.

    I have a I-Phone 8 plus and purchased a QI wireless case ..... The Problem I have is that it won't work in my New 2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid .... What will work in the CT-6 ? .... Cadillac has a slide in pocket that is suppose to charge a QI wireless case ....but it doesn't because it doesn't like up with the sweet spot no matter which way I turn the phone.

      sweet ride. yeh i'm not sure if you are having issues kind of lining it up. tough to suggest a solution without seeing it in action

      Bottom Line Cadillac and Apple just didn't get their act together. Found a chart " GM Wireless Charging Compatible Device List. Won't work with the 2015 - 2017 model. but 2018 says it will .... So the Salesman lied.

    • @techfreshness
      @techfreshness  6 лет назад

      ah man thats a bummer, although rereading your comment, i'm not sure i understand your wireless case situation, does it work for charging without your case on?

    • @ocalakid55
      @ocalakid55 6 лет назад

      Yes ..the case works fine in the house .....just won't work in my built-in car charger. I have to plug it in while driving to charge it in the car. after talking with several folks from Cadillac Sales. I learned that GM's in-car charging system just isn't compatible with the I-Phone 8 and 8 Plus on the Caddilac CT6 years. 2015 - 2017. It will work or so they claim in 2018. My care is 2017 .

    For someone who researchs tech for the best purchase, why do u use iphone? I had iphone from the original to the 6 regular, but their is a lack of innovations for the new iphones. The 8 still has a 720p screen, a the memory on the models cost $100 for just 16gb more memory. The durability, gatekeeping when it comes to importing files itunes is aids. Cloud and storage is a rip off. Apple is behind on wireless charging, bezels, screen resolution, cameras on the none plus phones, fast charging, graphics, aux port, and many other things. The os keeps getting worse every update

      yobobby9 He likes iOS why do you prefer Coke over Pepsi? To each his own.

    • @techfreshness
      @techfreshness  6 лет назад +10

      hey man, good comment. honestly i just like the iphone, i like the way the OS works and i think its a lot more fluid than android, apple has most of the good ui patents for touchscreens, so things like intertia, and rubberbanding effects can only be implemented on apple's OS.
      Hardware, design, and specwise though, you are completely right, i see some of these s8's and the s8 note, they feel like very very sexy devices in hand, and the screen quality is no joke, i'm very jelly ha., i just really really don't like android OS. not to mention being in the ecosystem of the majority of your friends and family is an important consideration, so things like large group texts etc, sharing, etc are advantageous.
      i will say though, the apple airbuds are an AMAZING iphone accessory, i would almost choose an iphone just based on those ha.

      yobobby9 I would agree iOS has had more missteps as of late and I would be remiss in saying I wasn’t disappointed; however, throwing hardware into a phone that exists in other technologies is hardly innovation. What is truly innovative is the risk taking and appropriate integration of hardware into a given device that provides the end user with the best possible functionality and user experience. For all those who seem to have as their life mission to attack Apple while utilizing their preferred device that piggybacked many of their features off of the endless risk payoffs from previous iPhone successes such as the App Store and subsequent influx of developers who code for their preferred smartphone platforms as just one example.....please, its old. It would be ridiculous to believe that any single company like Apple or product like the iPhone is unilaterally the best purchase as consumers have a myriad of incomes, technological backgrounds, and ultimately features important to them that will dictate which choice for them is best. I’m not an IT expert but for me personally as a prosumer the Apple ecosystem currently provides the most complete and intuitive albeit imperfect phone, tablet, and laptop options for me. One day my preference for Apple products could change and its great to have others pushing the tech envelope as that wards off technological stagnation. Currently Siri is a bust and I just purchased an amazon echo as a result. I care little about wireless charging but was thrilled that Apple took note of the success of larger Samsung phones years back and improved OLED displays today that I currently enjoy on my iPhone X today as a result. So in conclusion lets layoff the counterproductive, less than intelligent, and certainly less than original criticism of Apple, the iPhone, and their users. I know it escapes all the haters that virtually all devices of all innovators collaborate and imitate the successes of others but newsflash they do. When you find the perfect company and device for every person on the planet let me know, but until then let tech freshness do his thing without the snide Apple remarks.
