i have a question for the 22.10 min reacton. If we have a ketone where the R - are to benzene rings, can we still produce a nitrille as a product or the aromatic rings make it difficult?
Formation of a cyanohydrin is an equilibrium and in the case of benzophenone you will have hard time pushing it towards the product but yes, overall it’s quite possible.
Hello sir, I 've beeen watching your previous videos and i think you might of made a mistake, or perhaps I'am just mistaken. in this video ruclips.net/video/3-1H9zhOLGc/видео.html the time stamp being 3:00 you put a -2 charge on a carbon that has 2 hydrogen bonds a carbon bond and a oxygen bond which confuses me alot
You misunderstood. It's not a charge, it's an oxidation state. I review the oxidation states in the oxidation of alcohols (overview) video. It's in the alcohols playlist.
@@VictortheOrganicChemistryTutor so before doing the attack .when does someone choose to look at the oxidation number and not the charge. because I thought you only look at the formal charge

Tus vídeos son muy buenos, no entiendo por qué tan pocas vistas. Aún así, muchas gracias, por ti he pasado muchos exámenes de orgánica♡
Awesome video

Sir teach about reagents

@@Someguywhousesyoutube You don't necessarily need to look at the oxidation states at all... those only become relevant in red-ox reactions.
@@VictortheOrganicChemistryTutor great, thanks
