Carter!!! My girrrrl! ♥ Haha, you're a Dani vlog fan too?! I was just gonna comment that, not even kidding, I'm going to use this for my adult roommates haha!
Don't have kids. Still listened to this whole video before 6am. I've been around since the start of your channel and I just love your voice, your kindness, what you share with us. Thank you.
No kids. But I am a therapist that works with kids and I loved the way you discussed the stigma attached to chores. This is a battle I often see in families I work with. Chores are fun if you make it fun and dreadful if you dread it. Can’t wait to implement these ideas even for myself! ❤️
As a 20-something only child from a broken family who never had chores enforced by my parents, this video absolutely warmed my heart. I have a long way to go before I have kids, but lately I've been thinking a lot about how my betterment as a person at this stage in my life directly impacts my ability to be a good parent in the future. This video was incredibly helpful and informational, along with the trademark Coffee Break honesty and raw-ness that I love from this channel. The overflow of love and mom-energy that you bring to your videos not only inspires and empowers me to be the best version of myself, but also just makes me feel comforted and loved. Thank you so much Dani! 💕 Sincerely, Your internet bonus-baby 🐼
You my love, are going to be an exceptional parent! With a beautiful family! I know this because you took time out of your day to be kind to me- a stranger on the internet. I’m so excited for what the future has in store for you😍🤩💜 Love, Your internet bonus mom!
I have been researching different chore charts for weeks. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! You’ve done an excellent job on this! It’s versatile and efficient and I really appreciate the clear way you walked us through how to use it. I am doing this! Thank you so much!!
We have done chore charts since my kids were toddlers. My kids are now teens and can cook, clean, and maintain their space. It has taught them a lot about personal responsibility and take pride in their home. Good job mama!
I'm not a parent but LOVE this idea and am considering making one just to keep on top of things at home. Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy!
This is brilliant!! I don't have children, but I could use this for myself! Especially for goal setting, visuals really help me and also this chore chart is so cute!
Super organized especially with a blended family. I have no children but this certainly will stay with them and they will learn things they can use throughout their life. Laundry, cleaning, cooking. On the cellphone issue you can install a docking station in a central location on the kitchen counter. My girlfriend did this with all phones, laptops and there was lots of resistance but it worked in the end. To this day I still do 2 chores on Saturdays that were instilled in me over 60 years ago. It works!!!
My boyfriend has 2 boys and after watching this video... I took it up a notch without realizing it. 😂 Yesterday I just blurted out that they need to contribute to this household... and low and behold they didn’t even mind! Thank you for always keeping it real and saying what we are all thinking! 💜
As a mom of a blended family I have to say this is a great idea, all my girls are grown now with their own families but when we were all much younger things weren't easy for me/ house....good job Dani ♥️🇨🇦♥️
We had some poster paper left over from a project and we wrote his Daily Chores on it. At the bottom we drew the same number of boxes as chores and we have sticky notes that have pictures for each chore, When he does a chore he can put the sticky note in one of the boxes and when they are all filled he is done! We are only starting out so we made sure that at least one chore is something that he already wants to do everyday. My 6yr old's Daily chores are Feed the dog (breakfast & Dinner), Get the mail (He has loved doing this), Pick up Toys played with that day (has been a struggle), and his School work (he loves school, so I am very lucky with this one). We have an afternoon time on the clean up so we don't do clean up to early.
You have helped me in getting the right mindset to tackle my chores and chore chart. Thank you for taking time out of your day and giving your truth to help me handle my life and my situation. I hope the Lord continues to bless you in everything you do!
Although I don't have young children, I do have one Adult child (my husband lol)! I have a "Honey Do" List for him. I keep track of what's needed in the house hold. Of course I have my own chores. Great idea for my Daughter for her daughter of 7 years old. This is much more visual (excellent). Thank you, Dani.
Parker actually asked if he could have one where I write down things I need him to do, or things he can do FOR ME for that day to help. I think its a good idea for all ages!
Thank you for this best one I seen so far and hoping to get this made this weekend. if you have a video on raising and maintaining sanity raising a strong minded soon to be 5 year old haven't seen your videos in a bit but have to say can see a difference , your always happy and smiling but seen contentment now in your beautiful face TFS xoxox
This was just breathtaking lol honestly, I am so happy that you were so thorough in explaining how, when and where this can be used and examples. We know as moms, kids can be tricky and ways we implement new structures are very important. Thank you soo much Dani!!!
Loved it..We used to give them stars after when they filled a full week.We would give them a treat..like frozen yogurt or bake their favorite cookies..💜💗
Thats such a good idea! But it backfires with my 8 year old. He starts to only function if its incentive based so it blows up in our faces lol With this chart the idea is You do it because its your job. Like mine is to cook and shop and take care of you. Then if we notice everyones been doing well, well take them for coffee or ice cream. But never the expectation you know?
Love this. I made our own version with glass magnetic whiteboards from the container store. I purchase the same magnets and labels as you. However, with the kids dirty fingers, the labels were getting dirty. I purchased 1” round clear mailing seals and taped over the white round stickers. I also applied another clear round sticker on the bottom of the magnet so it wouldn’t scratch the glass. Works awesome and kids have been great using the chore chart. I’ve also added designated laundry day by person, this way it eliminates sorting the clothes. I love changing up the non routine chores. And they have to learn time management because if chores aren’t done then they don’t get any screen time or get to play with friends.
Loved this! Thank you. My family and my bfs family will be officially under one roof in Sept. there will be a total of 7 kids 🫣 so I am just trying to get ideas now of a chores board and def loved yours.
I don't have kids yet but my first thought was "I could use this on my roomies!" I pitched it and we're trying to see how to incorporate it in our apt. Muchas gracias!
Dani, I have watched your channel for a very long time. It’s been so great to watch your channel evolve over time and I love the mix of content so much. I don’t even have kids but I watched this 😂😂😭 I hope you are well & safe.
Once I stopped staring at your GORGEOUS ring.....I really love this chore chart!!!! I’ve never seen one like this. I’m definitely going to work on creating one for my house and maybe by summer we’ll have a good system in place. Thanks for sharing Dani!!!! 💕❤️💕🥰
I don't even have kids and I loooove this! I especially LOOOOVE the dog chart! I freaking can't w the exact shapes!! It is PERFECTION, woof woof 😘🐶🐶🐶🐶❤
Beautiful chore chart. My son is 6 and we use chore sticks but often forget to check if he actually did it lol. This system is great. Also thanks for the list! I’m adding some sticks to our jar now!
I sent this video to my daughter. She will have her 11 year old future step son for the summer and will be having babies of her own soon. You did a great job on this and I knew before, but you definitely proved here than you are an amazing mommy and bonus mom! 🥰😘
I really, really appreciate this video. I too have a blended household. I have two daughters 8 and 15 and a stepson age 6. All of the kids have no responsibilities or rules or chores at their other household, but we believe in raising them to be responsible and self sufficient some day. I know how personal your journey is, but I wish you would make more coparenting/blended household content. It’s so hard to find on RUclips and I think it could really help others. Love you and your videos!
I've been looking forward to this video for so long! Thank you! LOVE the doing something kind for a sibling and parent spot. I find myself far too often saying to my 5yo and 2yo twins "that was not kind" so I like looking for opportunities for them to do something kind for others.
I don’t have kids still watched this. Love seeing parent making kids responsible and self sufficient it’s the process of making considerate and productive adults our world needs more of that. What’s best for the collective not just the all about me mentality :)
It’s very easy to forget they are adults in training bc they’re small, noisy, and always hungry hahaha! But we are in fact preparing them to go out into the world and make a positive contributing impact! But if they can’t do that, the very least they can do is mind their place in the world, be respectful, and stay afloat! 🤣
Just curious, would you be able to show us an example of a curriculum schedule you might have? Just trying to put together a schedule now that that school is closed. Any advice or tips you have I would totally appreciate. Thank you!
Ok totally off topic but I love your kids names! They are so unique... I also love this idea and who knows I may use it one day when I have kids of my own.
Great video. I just printed out a chore sheet today. I am waiting for hubby so we can have a family meeting tonight. What do you do if they didn’t do their chore/s?
We give a warning or two, then start taking away fun stuff like iPad time, phone privileges, we delete an app on their phones, or pile on more yucky chores the next day :)
I absolutely fell in love with this video and I’m recreating your idea. Im a mother of 4 and need some organization in my life. I’m tired of repeating myself. By any chance do you have the template that you created with picmonkey?
Love my laminator got it at Walmart for less than $30 and very compact. Cord stores in machine. My kids have been doing their own laundry since they were around 8. We put soap in machine and they put clothes in start washer then put in dryer and start. Once done they put into their small basket and take to their room fold and put away. Of course I had to supervise for about 6 months now no issues. My short one still needs laundry soap help but that’s it.
CoffeeBreakwithDani www.walmart.com/ip/Scotch-Thermal-Laminator-Value-Pack-Includes-20-Bonus-Pouches/22478097 It was a few dollars less than when I bought mine but here it is
I have no kids but I still clicked super fast lol. You make everything interesting and I always look forward to your videos. Thanks for keeping up the content. It’s so nice to have breaks from everything going on.
I need this. Our "Chore Charts" have not worked in the past. Now I have a tween and a baby college student. So they are very able to help more. They do help, but the timing is off.
Thank you Dani! I really liked the chore charts you have for the kiddos. I got a magnetic board it's on the fridge, my boys have chores specifically designed for each kid. Based on the amount of stars, I choose the amount at the end of the week they have a reward. Before the virus, we would take kids out to lunch, I'd take my oldest son to a restaurant he chose, and my hubby will take our youngest to his favorite place. Movies was another reward, we tried staying away from materialistic reward, more emphasis on spending time together.
@@CoffeeBreakwithDani I am so glad you liked the idea. Kids earn stars M-F, Saturday is a reward day, if the kids didn't earn required amount of stars, they had a Saturday to do an extra chore and Sunday would be a reward day. It rarely happens, kids come up to the board almost daily to make sure they are on track. We cant go to the movies, instead each kid will choose a movie on Disney+
It’s just me and my significant other in our house but I still watched all 38 minutes of this video!! You’re doing such a great job with your blended family and not only that but you’re teaching your children valid life skills and how to be independent. You know there’s still 20+ year olds out there that don’t know how to do their own laundry!!😂🤣 Another great video!! Glad y’all are well and staying safe. Love you, Dani!!💙😘 xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo 🐼☕️🐼
Dani I thought the same thing about a laminator but it was the $20 I have spent on Amazon ever. I love mine and have used it so much more than i ever thought i would. Take the plunge and get one you will find so many uses for it. Btw this is such a great idea too bad my kids are basically adults and only one still lives at home.
U did a lot of talking!!!!! But this is BY FAR the best chore chart idea I have ever seen!!!!! I will be sure to check in and let you know how well it works for my family!!!!! Thank u!!!! thank u!!!!! Thank u thank u!!!!
Goodmorning. This is so helpful. Thank you. Question did you notice all of the little floating lights around you? When you are standing by the chore wall.
The first one I noticed was at the very beginning. Like 35-37 seconds in to the video. Not sure if you are someone who believes in things like that but for some reason I thought of your grandma. May she RIP🙏
i have this for mommy and daddy too.. it helps them to understand that we are also doing it with them and more than them as my 5 yr old was explaining his daddy :*
Me encantó!!
Love it love it love it! I've been hoping you would show it! We too tried the "card chore" and it didnt work here either:( this looks doable! And cute😊
Love ur board, and ur chore frame😍I’m wondering if I should do one for my girl🤔 she’s 7, and she has a couple of tiny chores, usually I just tell her. But I was thinking she would probably feel so accomplished when she’s done, with a chart ✅ 🥰thanks Dani for another great video, love you!!! Be safe!! Blessings ❤️
@@CoffeeBreakwithDani perfect!, will do! I actually already asked her and she literally got excited lol..lets see if she stays that way after awhile! 😁😜 she will.❤💕 Thanks Dani!!!❤💞
How did you introduce this to your kids? What happens if they dont do their chores? Mine are 16 and 14 and im just wondering how it would go over in my house.
Very few things can be used as ammo with them. For us we take away the use of iPads, watching tv, erase apps on their phones, or no dessert. Depending on the amount of chores not done, or the type of chores, we just pile on more yucky chores the next day
Did u say 5 year old? Holy cow I guess my 3 year old reading IS a big deal lol literally making this chart for him 😅 thanks this was nice I wonder if we can change the metal color with like metal paint of a vinyl sheet just wondering if that would take a way that magnetic feature
I have no children but I watched every minute of this and am wondering if I want a chore chart for my 31 year old self 😂
Hahah! Its not necessarily for kids. Its a great visual way to get your day in order - especially if youre forgetful or squirrely - like me! LOL
Carter Sams you could! I have something similar.
Pretty sure I need one for myself as well. It would definitely make things easier.

Thank you Dani🐼❤
I don't even have kids and I watched this whole video lol. I just love the way you teach and explain things. 😊
I bought a laminator last month. They had it at lidl in the “offers” bin and it was 22 euros. How could I say no to that?
Yay! Chore chart video is finally here!
U did a lot of talking!!!!! But this is BY FAR the best chore chart idea I have ever seen!!!!! I will be sure to check in and let you know how well it works for my family!!!!! Thank u!!!! thank u!!!!! Thank u thank u!!!!
I was so excited to see this notification this morning. Am I going to do it? Nope. Did I watch? Hell yes. 💋
I’m actually going to do this for my business too! 🥰🥰🥰
Wow!!!😳 I need this in my quarantine life!!! Thank you!!!🐼🐾🐼🐾💖
Completely needed this. Good Lord! Thank you 💜
Awesome great job my kids are adults this would have been great
I’ve been waiting for this video! Thank you 😊
Seeing you makes me happy 😊 your AWESOMENESS IS AWESOME 😎
Definitely going to try this thanks you Amiga
Goodmorning. This is so helpful. Thank you. Question did you notice all of the little floating lights around you? When you are standing by the chore wall.
No! I tried to rewatch and didn’t see them 😱
The first one I noticed was at the very beginning. Like 35-37 seconds in to the video. Not sure if you are someone who believes in things like that but for some reason I thought of your grandma. May she RIP🙏
In 1:25 it goes across your face and again at 1:33. I wish i was able to record it and show you. I'll stop being a weirdo lmao.
thank you, have been waiting for this video just didnt want to ask to not overwhelm you
i have this for mommy and daddy too.. it helps them to understand that we are also doing it with them and more than them as my 5 yr old was explaining his daddy :*
Me encantó!!
Muchas felicidades mamita!
Love it love it love it! I've been hoping you would show it! We too tried the "card chore" and it didnt work here either:( this looks doable! And cute😊
You’re the best Dani
Love ur board, and ur chore frame😍I’m wondering if I should do one for my girl🤔 she’s 7, and she has a couple of tiny chores, usually I just tell her. But I was thinking she would probably feel so accomplished when she’s done, with a chart ✅ 🥰thanks Dani for another great video, love you!!! Be safe!! Blessings ❤️
Perfect age to start! I would say as early as 4!
@@CoffeeBreakwithDani perfect!, will do! I actually already asked her and she literally got excited lol..lets see if she stays that way after awhile! 😁😜 she will.❤💕 Thanks Dani!!!❤💞
Love how P is painting the frame RIGHT in front of a TV screen! I would be splattering white paint all over it! 🤣🤣
I need to know what you do when they don't do their chores! Besides take screen time away!😭😢
Do you have a Pinterest?
Thank u I'm glad I'm not alone
Love your videos Dani, I don't even have kids and still watched this whole video 😅
I love how the fridge and the owls on top are all looking at the same thing 😂
Love it!
I want this for myself, totally trying this
Yay!! Another video! 😂 I need this right now... thank you 😊
This is 9 months old but my son is now 4 and I want him to start having more responsibility and this is very helpful 😊
